@svendborg, converting mp3 in flac format does not bring a better quality than the original mp3 file. The freqencies are cut anyway by mp3. Bye the way - I still do not see, how a player from Apple is able to record.

@rknuth No did not buy it in Stuttgart - Bought one in Potsdam and one in Berlin. Why did you ask this? @koen actually, I asked if someone could tell me, how to set such a microphone to get good results and would like to know if other people made some expercience with that equipment.

Hi there, I am sure that some experts can help with an issue. From time to time I record loud live music with an M-Audio Microtrack 24/96. The setting is: PCM (wav), 16 Bit Stereo at 44.1 Khz. Recorded over line-in (stereo) This worked not perfect but ok with the standard microphones. Level had to be set to very low but still some cliping. Now I have bought new microphones OKMII Kla
