These 1995 club shows are among the best performances from the Stones.

Eric is still good at jamming, riffing and rythming, but once going into soloing the ageing is becoming very noticeable.

Quotefrankotero It’s got to be hard or even impossible for some people to maintain vocals to old age. Playing instruments is easier I think. It's really up to personal abilities. I know some artist whose voice at 80 was not ageing too bad and some guitarists whose ability unfortunately faded earlier than others. Each artist is a different case.

QuoteMore Hot Rocks I finally realized that a lot of people are tone deaf. Yep A simple comparaison between Back in the U.S. and Good Evening New York City already shows the truth. But Paul is a showman and his energy backed by a raw band may fool a lot of people. And things sound a little better live at the venue than on recordings.

A lot of people can cope with Paul's voice declining. I can't. But I had the privilege to attend him in 1993 at a time when the voice was still there.

EC doesn't perform a 2 hours show anymore. And don't forget the seated part playing on acoustic. I last witnessed him in 2015 and it was still enjoyable. QuoteSpud Nobody would say that playing killer guitar and singing for two hours isn't physically taxing.. ..but EC ain't exactly combining it with a gym work out like Mick does

My 2 cents on the subject. From what I read from Keith own words he was able to keep on the guitar alone when Brian was not interested in guitar anymore but he admitted that afterward he was strong enough for that position and needed someone else. Still, the Mick Taylor years where difficult for Keith as it developped into a Keith becoming the rythm guitarist and Mick the solo player. An

It will be difficult to have more detailed figures than gross. Interestingly would to get the number of ticket sold by each artist. That would allow to get an average gross per ticket ratio and average attendance as well. Still the aim of the article is that the 40 top gross for UK artists are almost all over 40 years aged people.

This is UK focused, appart the Taylor Swift mention. Is it the same for the US\Canadian\German international top acts ? Already 10 years ago, or so, this was a matter for the Glastonbury organisator : they were failing to find new generation of acts to make the very big screen and have to rely on the old bands.

The the 40th Anniversary boxset of GYYYO reissued in 2009 is featuring a previously unissued 5 tracks live CD, plus the B. B. King and Ike And Tina Turner sets. This has required both agrement between the band and ABKCO.

QuoteBeast By some miracle, I did score a ticket in the presale in block A2. But these tactics are par for the course and a total insult to genuine fans.I can't think of a large venue that doesn't invariably try it on with the hospitality packages, which then get dismantled and put on sale at "normal" prices as the date approaches. And unfortunately, it seems that artists

QuoteGasLightStreet Look at the credits in STRIPPPED. Like A Rolling Stone, Not Fade Away, I'm Free and Little Baby all had renewed copyrights. This not the same kind of "copyright" There are two copyright : the song and the recording. To extreme simplification, the EU law is The song's copyright last 70 years after the death of the author. Quotemakemeburnthecandle An incredible talent, RIP Vic. He sold one of his guitars to Rick Harrison in a 2013 episode of Pawn Stars. And Rick actually lost a lot on that one. He paid $55,000 for it in 2013 But sold twice on Juliens auction for $25,000 in 2014 and $19,500 in 2015

Sorry for being not that enthousiastic but seeing The Rolling Stones in relatively small venue is just a dream and then you witness one member high on pot or the other one drunk... I bough the Wiltern but the MSG gig was a far better performance music wise. So this time will be without me.

QuoteHansel1976 Nothing beats the sounds of the Fender guitars and amplifier's on the opening number during the live shows.Added guitar solo on Satisfaction makes for a satisfying experience. It is the opposite for me. Keith playing the LP on it during the WL tour was SO awesome. And I can't believe Bridges to Babylon is already that old. In my calendar I feel like being just 10 y

Taylor Swift may have broken a record previously owned by the Beatles such as the number of simultinaeous singles in the top ten - well actually she trusted the whole Billboard Hot 100's top ten a for a week.

I wonder how much popular David Gilmour really is now? I mean if you wanted to attend a Roger Waters show last time there were almost suffidcient capacity for anyboody that wanted to. But David Gilmour is another matter. He takes it safe by offering way less tickets than the number of people wanting to attend and making it geographically difficult. The RAH only run is somewhat a bad j

I have attended him at a better era and I have decided years ago that it was time for me to stop going to his shows. And he made it easier by not playing near from home. But I must admit I am pleasantly surprised that Clapton is still at that level now.

I remember attending a R&K show and one musician did play the Satisfaction riff, then Bill told something like "no we are not playing this repertoire tonight" using a relaxed tone. Maybe it was an usual joke done everynight at htis same part of the show, I don't know. To me the R&K are more of a fun club band, letting Bill do what he likes without pressure. And as he ha
