QuoteHansel1976 Nothing beats the sounds of the Fender guitars and amplifier's on the opening number during the live shows.Added guitar solo on Satisfaction makes for a satisfying experience. It is the opposite for me. Keith playing the LP on it during the WL tour was SO awesome. And I can't believe Bridges to Babylon is already that old. In my calendar I feel like being just 10 y

Taylor Swift may have broken a record previously owned by the Beatles such as the number of simultinaeous singles in the top ten - well actually she trusted the whole Billboard Hot 100's top ten a for a week.

Although very very surprising but I think that the Stones are using keys on Bitch in 1989. The horn section enters on Harlem Shuffle.

I wonder how much popular David Gilmour really is now? I mean if you wanted to attend a Roger Waters show last time there were almost suffidcient capacity for anyboody that wanted to. But David Gilmour is another matter. He takes it safe by offering way less tickets than the number of people wanting to attend and making it geographically difficult. The RAH only run is somewhat a bad j

I have attended him at a better era and I have decided years ago that it was time for me to stop going to his shows. And he made it easier by not playing near from home. But I must admit I am pleasantly surprised that Clapton is still at that level now.

I remember attending a R&K show and one musician did play the Satisfaction riff, then Bill told something like "no we are not playing this repertoire tonight" using a relaxed tone. Maybe it was an usual joke done everynight at htis same part of the show, I don't know. To me the R&K are more of a fun club band, letting Bill do what he likes without pressure. And as he ha

I must admit Wiltern is leaving me with frustration. I watch Licked Live In NYC and I don't hear the same band playing. For the club gigs better to stick with the stripped ones.

QuoteRollingFreak QuoteValeswood QuoteKeithNacho Is it Gilmour or Snowy White?? I believe it is Snowy White who also played the solo on the 1977 Tour. Correct, its Snowy White. Excellent solo, no idea why it wasn't Gilmour but Snowy did fantastic. Snowy was auditionned for the tour before Animals was completed. At the time of the audition one of David's solo had been erased by er

The documentary is Jodorowsky's Dune by Frank Pavich - 2013 Although the storyboards is just insane I get serious doubt about this transcribed on screen by that man. I highly recommand to watch it.

I would tend to say that ABKCO seems not to be totaly at liberty to remix their Rolling Stones catalogue. I mean if they were, they would have already done it.

Quotetommycharles Looking forward to this immensely. Licks was the last gasp of something, I think. I feel the same. When I heard some 2006 shows something did not sound right.

Quoteangee Does no one besides me love Animals? Likely mentioned up thread a ways... For my part I do prefer both WYWH and Animals over TDSOTM. But TDSOTM is the iconic album from Pink Floyd, there is a before and an after that album. Cornerstone album. Fact over personal taste.

Quotejahisnotdead I've probably written this on this thread before but this arrangement of satisfaction has always been my favorite. Wasn't The Rolling Stones covering Otis recreating Satisfaction ? My fave live version is the one from the next tour performed on the Les Paul.

QuoteGasLightStreet Quoteds1984 7th of July and Rolling Stones '90 (Tokyo feb 26) sounded both like the real deal. I was left speechless by Flashpoint. OK. I'll take the bait for everyone else: In a good way? Doesn't seem like it. You read it right. I have heard Rolling Stones '90 bootleg month before and was anticipating the Flashpoint release as an improvemen

I'd like to see if a commercial exploitation in Europe of The Beatles Live at Stowe School by an established reissue label - such as for example Bear Family Records - will see the light. If they can do it without being sued or not.
