I'm 5'3" & had front row behind the pit in Chicago 2019. I could see fine as those in the pit tended to push forward so there usually weren't a ton of people at the back wall of the pit. YMMV though.

I've only done LD once. Atlanta 2021 and got Lower Bowl all the way in the back. Felt I did pretty good for the money. Certainly coulda been worse. Gonna try again this tour for Chicago.

Not sure it qualifies as nice but my & brother are staying at Fairfield Inn on Peachtree St. About a mile walk but a lot of it is stadium parking lots so assume there should be bunch of people making the journey at same time so hopefully a safer walk.

My gf is a dog groomer and works in one of the nicer parts of town. She does the Blues goalie's dog & Pat Maroon's pup's too. They're starting their tour in my hometown and where I saw them for 1st time in 89, on my birthday in 97, and arena show in 06! Also got Dips for Atlanta. Will be my 20th & 21st time seeing them. Returned my original tix for STL and bought new back on June 1st but still not received them so hope they fire up the printing press now that the shows are announced.

I've seen them 19 times and had some decent openers but no A-list acts, imo. Living Colour, Blind Melon, No Doubt, Taj Mahal, Ryan Adams several times, Antigone Rising, Elvis Costello, Alice Cooper, Los Lonely Boys, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Whiskey Meyers & St Paul are the ones I remember. In St Louis, the Stones would have been the fourth consecutive night of concerts but Ozzie Osbourne just cancelled his show. I imagine the Stones being the last to announce, playing the dome, and the higher prices dampened demand somewhat.

Scored Lucky Dip tix an hour after they went on sale! Was waiting for STL tix to go onsale so thought I'd give it a try. Bombed out the first several attempts but finally got some. I'm concerned you're confusing bravery with stupidity! I wouldn't do it on any other night but think there should be a fair amount of people walking that way to cars/Ballpark Village after the show to provide safety in numbers. If i don't post here after the show, you'll know it was a mistake.
