Like some other efforts - "Dangerous Beauty", for one - the lyrics are much weaker than the music. I really like the way this one takes off at the chorus. Also, as stated earlier, I can't decide if it's Pro-Christian or Anti.

QuoteElmo Lewis I strongly encourage you NOT to order from Nugs.net. Delays, NO customer service, etc. I finally received my CDs from the Atlanta show and have got to say the quality of both performance and recording is exceptional. The Stones may want to consider doing this. That said, they do NOT need to promise the show will ship within 10 days.

QuoteVoodooLounge13 I've been incredibly intrigued by the whole story of Skynyrd since listening to them, and I just can't process how a plane could run out of fuel on such a relatively short flight. It's a story that I can't get enough of - information wise. I remember when Stevie Ray Vaughan died in the helicopter crash. I was a freshman in high school, and so many pe

QuoteVoodooLounge13 It must have been something to see the original Skynyrd back in the day!!!! I’m sure they were amazing. I see they’re touring this fall with ZZ Top on the Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour. Love that! Lol. Might be a good way to catch ZZ. Imagine they’d both be pretty darn good with all the hits. Have to believe Skynyrd closes because how do you not end with Freebird!?!? There

QuoteVoodooLounge13 So drawing to the end of Skynyrd's catalog, and I'm struck by a few things.... 1. There is an uncanny resemblance to the Stones, in that really Skynyrd's musical legacy stopped in 1977. Many on here argue the Stones stopped in '78. Certainly their last #1 was in 1978. These are two bands that have largely been touring on past laurels for decades as ma

QuoteTheBluesHadaBaby Even if it's Bruce, he's not frail and covid circa 2023 is much weaker than the 2020-2021 versions were. Most of the world has now had these later mutations, many people more than once, and nearly everybody bounces back fast now. Look at Mick last year. If Springsteen's got it, join the club, and figure on this show postponed and one more at most. Bruce i

QuoteHairball So sad...damn... Skynyrd's catalogue up until 1977 still provides me with essential listening...most of it anyways...and Street Survivors may be in my top ten albums of all time...easily top 20. RIP Gary Rossington Yes, Street Survivors showed the potential for lots of growth with Steve Gaines coming on board. I was lucky enough to see them twice before the crash.

QuoteHairball Wondering if Stevie Wonder will also be featured as a guest artist on the new album... I recall a photo of him visiting the Stones in the studio in L.A around the same time Macca was there. Maybe both Stevie and Macca will play on the same track...a Macca-Wonder-Stones track could be excellent. Paint It Ebony and Ivory?

A little late, but just saw Blackberry Smoke. Highly recommended. When they hit it right, they have a Stones Exile vibe with a dash of Allman Brothers and Black Crowes.

Quotekeefriffhards This news of a new tour really surprised me, hadn't seen Ronnie out and about for months, very unlike him, was a bit concerned, so this now means Mick, Keith and Ronnie are all fit and well. Great news, it's like the good old days, studio album of originals to promote on tour with new music being played live, Mick and Keith both being 80 this year, it's surely

Tommy James plays the same songs in the same order every show. Even the jokes. Still a lot of fun, though. And in the original keys.
