QuotealimenteIt may sound a bit nitpicking, but the Tumbling Dice intro is neither a "soundcheck" nor a "rehearsal", it's simply a "backstage warm-up" in a dressing room to get into the mood for the show. They do a variety of songs there in a similar style, like "All Down The Line", "Dead Flowers" and others. Good stuff! That's correct

The version with the backstage warm-up intro is from the "Wild Horses" maxi CD. The live part is the one from the Olympia. Now we have both the warm-up version and the complete live track.

Quotehockenheim95 Has anyone here compared the Blu ray 5.1 mix with the 2.0 mix? Is Keith more audible in the 5.1 mix? I don't have a 5.1 system so I can't compare. If the mix is better maybe someone could mix a 2.0 mix of the 6 separate surround tracks? Exactly my question. Anyone?

QuoteDandelionPowderman Why are you saying that DVD-sound is poorer than that of CDs? CDs are way more compressed. I have a ripped audio version of the Paradiso show. It sounds wonderful. NOT worse than the cd. There are some minor flaws sound-wise on Brixton, but not on Paradiso – not as I'm able to hear anyway. I'm talking about the mix. I don't understand how they could mak

Well, it's obviously nice to have these shows in video and great audio quality, but the audio on the DVDs is far from the quality of a CD work. Just listen to that awful mix of "Gimme Shelter" in Amsterdam (you can barely hear the guitars at the end) and "Angie" from Paris. It is typical of a TV mix. I don't remember if the original Stripped documentary was so poorly

Having watched (in that order) the documentary, Paradiso and Olympia, Paradiso really stands out as one extraordinary performance. The sound is fantastic and the performance, wow. And Ronnie is on fire and inspired (not so much in Paris). However the mix bothers me sometimes. On Angie from the Olympia, Keith almost disappears in the background during the solos. The mix on "Stripped"

Quotedcba Quoteironbelly If I read correctly the two songs from May 27 ("Dead Flowers & "Shine A Light") have been removed from the new version of the "Stripped TV" program!? I translated the page in English last week right in this thread. It's amazing to me how people don't read previous messages...

Ok so the french fan club just revealed the contents of the DVD docu. Here's my translation. SPOILER! You've been warned. The sequences are in chronological order: first the studio recordings from Tokyo (nothing from Lisbon), then Paradiso, Olympia and finally Brixton. It starts with an introduction about the Voodoo Lounge tour. Throughout the documentary, numerous

Quoteexilestones I remember the original Japanese Stripped (1995) had the bonus track "Angie" which was in addition to the "Angie" that was already in the set list Is it the Japanese Stripped or the Japanese "Bridges To Babylon"? Because I remember a live version of Angie being on BTB - recorded in Tokyo 95.

Quoteironbelly 5 "Tumbling Dice" ("Wild Horses" single) (backstage rehearsal in Paris on 3 July 1995; live in Miami on 25 November 1994] This is not true : the live part is from the Olympia 95 show (as confirmed by the soundboard tape that was recently released).

Ok people, this is my own rip from the vinyl set. This is obviously not the definitive version as it includes some unavoidable cracks & pops and other problems. I also inverted "Angie" and "Wild Horses" so that they play in the right order. As for the source itself, I noticed some saturation sometimes (but I cannot say if it really comes from the source or my rip, someo

Me too : what's written on the box (which corresponds to the actual setlist) doesn't match the LP. I ripped the vinyl and managed to invert the songs back. Hopefully the CD won't have the same flaw. Anyway, for those still wondering, it is an actual soundboard recording.

Well it seems the @#$%& inverted "Angie" and "Wild Horses"... Well, at least on my vinyl... There seems to be a bad gap before "Wild Horses" (just before Mick says that he doesn't remember when they were at the Olympia before), the song fades and the vinyl goes again for "Angie". I agreed to pay a lot of money for this shit and they manage to f#ck i
