I have a little question for you - is this sourced from the promo cd or the cassette? Many thanks Forum: Buy/Sell/Trade
Has anyone received the bonus disc in the Ward set yet? Can they shed any light on whether the 3 songs are the same as the ones on the dvds? Forum: Tell Me
Is there any point in buying this set from Japan, when you can get nearly everything (audio-wise) from other retailers? It's only the 3 track bonus disc which you're missing and by the looks of it, you get the same material on the DVDs so a DVD audio ripper would solve that problem. Forum: Tell Me
No worries!
I've been listening to the album quite a lot recently and it's grown on me. I was initially unimpressed with 'The Last Time' but I kinda like it now. I'm looking forward to hearing more from this era, should a deluxe Stripped come out. Forum: Tell Me
Thank you very much for all of your help Irix, I really appreciate it.
I've since updated the discogs page with all the correct artwork from itunes. The images I have are all 1400 x 1400 but discogs is only showing them as 600 x 600. Still, they're better resolution than the scans posted on 45worlds. Forum: Tell Me
Thanks for the links Irix but google hasn't been much help so far, and nor has Discogs.
That 45worlds looks helpful but I don't think I can copy the images directly for some reason - thanks though Deltics.
Can anyone help me with my other two queries? Forum: Tell Me
I apologize for dragging up an old topic but I couldn't find a thread about this set that wasn't at least a couple of years old.
When the set was released I bought the odd track on itunes and each single had it's own artwork. Fast forward a few years and I managed to pick up a new cd set that didn't break the bank. I've since ripped each disc but now when I request th Forum: Tell Me

The Rolling Stones and Eagle Rock Entertainment are on the hunt for classic footage!
The Stones played the BBC's Top Of The Pops on 22nd April 1971. They performed Wild Horses, Bitch and Brown Sugar. Here's the amazing footage of Brown Sugar, unfortunately the video of Wild Horses and Bitch is missing. Have you ever seen it? Plea Forum: Tell Me

Would we even get an official release of Potted Shrimp considering it's been bootlegged? Isn't there a quote from Mick saying that they've tried to release material that hasn't been bootlegged?

Speaking of things going missing, I've just gone to watch the following concert which I bookmarked ages ago and there's a notice saying that the 'video contains content from Eagle Rock, who has blocked it on copyright grounds'

They tried very hard to make him change his mind, so I'm not sure about the good riddance-thing.
Even Keith went to his house to see if there were any possibilities for him to reconsider...
Wouldn't that have been the easiest answer to the problem though if they had managed to convince him to stay? Surely it most be better to convince someone to stay instead Forum: Tell Me

I was able to find all my Stones purchases on Google Play by selecting the path Music/My Music/My Library/Rolling Stones. Google Play appears to have changed their UI and not for the better I think.
Same here - I was able to find mine to re-download but I couldn't find the Toronto concert for sale on here. That was the only one I hadn't bought out of the 5. I think it Forum: Tell Me
I apologize if this has been discussed before but would someone be able to help me out in regards to bootlegs with what to look for and where to find them?
I've almost finished listening to all their studio/live albums now so I'd like to start checking out all the unreleased material and demos. Is there a definitive list of all the outtakes/demos boots or are they just scattered arou Forum: Buy/Sell/Trade

The shows seem to still be available on the Stones archive site but they're unavailable to anyone from the the US, UK, Italy, Spain, France or Germany.
I might have to pick them up again in FLAC whilst I'm here in 'straya Forum: Tell Me
They're missing from the UK play store too. I have all of them bar the Toronto show so I'm a bit disappointed that I can't get that now. Forum: Tell Me

it must be amazing for a younger fan to find this stuff-
how anyone who is into the rolling stones can dislike any of it just baffles me, but then i sometimes forget that being a stones fan sometimes means they're your 5th or 6th favorite band.
For me, the Stones are now my joint favourite band. I only really started to listen to them about 2-3 years ago. I knew some son Forum: Tell Me

Perhaps people don't pay much attention to all the lyrics?
Anyway, does the second Angie promo feature a live vocal track as well? Sorry for all the questions but I'm fairly new to the Stones (on video).
Like the Dancing With Mr D clip both clips of Angie has Jagger singing live (live for the filming) over the LP version with the recorded vocals Forum: Tell Me
