Get some good audiophile sleeves to put them in. I have no idea why so many record companies still use paper or cardboard sleeves. They leave all sorts of paper particles on the surface.

I agree with Milwaukee as far as the venue goes, but I also agree with a comment earlier that this is likely to get a "festival" setlist.... My vote is San Diego. This is a relatively small ballpark, and will have a much more intimate feel than the football stadiums on the tour. The weather can't be beaten, period. And the atmosphere around the ballpark can't be beaten eith

Quotetatters Any of the Exile songs they've never played before. Exactly my first reaction when I read the question. Even some they only played a few times. I loved The Torn and Frayed version they played at one of the Toronto warm-up shows. Forget if it was BB or Licks tour.

I am having visions of Mick sitting in a control room like Mr. Burns, with dozens of monitors showing all of the message boards and billboards. "They're all behaving, Charlie. Excellent....."

The Chicago shows were certainly NOT in Rockford. The Rockford stop was a last minute addition very early in the tour, separate from the Chicago shows in late Novemeber. They later came back through and played the Rosemont Horizon for 3 nights - those were the "Chicago" shows.

Cool pics! Never knew he wore the Bears jersey. I was at the first Chicago show (Nov 23) and he wore the Eagles jersey. So far, I have seen pics of the following jerseys on the 81 tour: Eagles Bears Redskins Oilers A's Cowboys I seem to recall a photo of him in a Lions jersey, or at least someone talked about it. What other jerseys have you seen on that tour?

SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION. I meant that contempt was from the interviewer, not Stanley. I thought the interviewer made a number of snotty passive-aggressive comments about the Stones.

Started out as a great interview, with so much potential. I love his take on Merideth Hunter, basically saying what an idiot he was. I couldn't agree more. Other than that, this just turns into a very lazy interview from someone who clearly has quite a bit of contempt for the Stones. Stanley Booth drones on and on and on about mostly nothing of any substance. Most annoying of

Mostly correct. All sourced from the same DSD files, but both the vinyl pressings and the SACDs are superior to the standard CD releases. To my ears, the SACDs and vinyl releases are equal in quality.

Wannabe audiophiles who claim that digital transfers are inferior to analog transfers truly have no clue what they are talking about. It's all about the quality of the transfer, not the source. Straight from someone who can easily be described as the leading expert on topic, my friend Bob Irwin, owner of Sundazed Records, and much sought after producer for vinyl reissues, told me this wh

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteFeelTheFire I will be very disappointed if C.S Blues is not on it. Why should it be? If they released that, it would have been with the Exile release. Nope. Recorded in 1970 during the Sticky Fingers sessions. Intended to be their final obligation to Robert Klein and Decca, but was subsequently replaced by Brown Sugar in fulfilling that obligation.

QuoteBashlets Is Eagle Vision the same as Eagle Rock?. I just looked at the amazon.uk website and 1981 DVD shows studio is Eagle Rock. the 1975 dvd is Eagle Vision. Im starting to think only 1981 is legit, and 1975 will come through Eagle Rock at later time. One in the same. Eagle Vision is a division of Eagle Rock.

Glad to see Goat's Head make some lists here. Most overrated album in the bunch, and gets overly praised simply because of the line-up and its association with the 73 tour. I think it's a horrible album. In no particular order: Goats Head Soup Dirty Work Steel Wheels Satanic Majesties England's Newest Hitmakers
