There's another interview with KR in the new edition of the Radio Times to promote the Julian Temple programme. The interview seems to have taken place around June at the Dorchester Hotel in London (he mentions the forthcoming EU vote) Most of it is the usual stuff but he does mention the stones had been practising at Mark Knopflers studio. I quite liked the last answer of the interview w

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before but I've just read an article in the latest December issue of Uncut magazine about some Kurt Cobain archive material that's being released. The article quotes Brett Morgen who is the man behind this release and also of course Crossfire Hurricane and he says the following about being initially underwhelmed by what Kurt Cobain mater

Quotecrumbling_mice Quotelmatth8461 Glastonbury 2010 pic...Oh yes, that's the kind of Glasto I like to remember. 1997 was a mudbath, and it was raining while I was there in 1998 (I actually left early, the only time ever)...but 1999 and 2000 were glorious, maybe my favourite years of the lot. The weather can make or break a festival. Lee Agreed on that one Lee - 2011 nearly killed me,

Quotecrumbling_mice Well since I have my Glasto 2013 already secured I am hoing beyond hope that they will play...I've been to festivals all over the World but there is nothing that compares to Glastonbury for vibe. TO see them on that Pyramid stage would be amazing. I'm hearing a lot of rumours from the music business but nothing confirmed...talks are currently on going. Jagger has s

QuoteGreen Lady Quotepaulywaul Wouldn't be surprised if the Stones turn it down also. Don't know WHY I think that, I've got no particular reason for so doing, but I just can't help but feel that if they play anywhere at all in the UK in 2013, it's likely to be stadiums or maybe the London Calling thing in Hyde Park, anywhere BUT Glastonbury basically ! Whatever .........

Thought it was ok but I must admit I was a little disappointed with how quickly it ended. Probably worse for me as I saw it at Cineworld in the O2 and the sound was terrible.......tinny and very quiet.

QuoteGravityBoy How many of the Government or the Olympic Committe use the NHS I wonder. Total hypocrisy on show there. The NHS is arguably Britain's greatest achievement which for the last 30 years has been cynically and deliberately underfunded so that it can be privatised in small slices. The smug mega rich elitist industrialist exploiter of workers (portrayed by Kenneth Branagh)

QuoteGravityBoy Quotejpasc95euh...I didn't notice that France was helped by the referees...when was that ? In the first game against England there was a special rule. The rule was that no French player could be booked regardless of what he did (to Andy Carrol mostly). Great point except for the fact that Andy Carroll was an unused substitute against France

QuoteGazza QuoteGazza Despite the copy and paste and tabloid-ish style way the article is thrown together, the basic gist of the story (a few gigs, summer 2013, final tour and Glastonbury) are a believable and realistic scenario. The final night of Glasto 2013 will be Sunday 23rd June if thats the case, then. just got an e-mail to correct this. Next years Glastonbury is a bit later than usua

That might be somewhat due to the fact that it (and only the state rooms at that) is only open to the public for about eight weeks of the year. Still, never let the small detail get in the way of a good rant!
