The sound quality got better over the years but the band never played better than this I don't believe anyway. All members still playing/singing their asses off and the ego's hadn't gotten out of hand yet. Man I wish I could have seen them with Taylor!

Just visited Hibbing Mn Bobs hometown and stopped in at his home. Kinda neat to see and I enjoyed dinner in Bob's old home town.

Played this so often as a kid I had to replace the record twice. Loved it all and never had any album meant quite as much. Fantastic sloppiness in places especially in the harmonies and that's the Stones at their best.

I can see how you can mimmick someones actions and body language and even make yourself look like somebody else. How the hell do you change your voice to sound the same though? That must take some real talent and this kids got tons of that.

I think both MT and the Stones both made mistakes. First the band for not giving him more tunes to play on and then him for showboating when he got his chance.

With the advent of Champix or Chantix whichever spelling you prefer your just being silly to not stop smoking these days. The pill program practically quarrantes making quitting easy so why not use the technology available today? Cigarretts cost about $16.00 a pack in Canada now so why in the hell does anybody still smoke?

Yeah they stayed and played alright but they should have gone on much earlier to avoid most of the nastiness.

The Stones for longer than anybody could have guessed were a really interesting important band. It's been years since they mattered however and they haven't put out a good record according to their own standards since 1981.

Right on banditpanda our boys didn't have much compared to J.Geils during that time and myself a huge biased Stones fan. I remember actually feeling embarrassed at the show. My friend not the biggest Stones backer thought it quite funny how seeing them live proved they weren't even very good in 81 and I've never really forgotten it.

Mr.Keys was such a huge part of the band I'm surprised there isn' t more official news on his passing. Loved the fact he played on that early Buddy Holly stuff and that such a regular everyday guy would be so big in a band the size of the Stones. Fantastic career and one hell of a player. My condolences to family and friends.

Sorry but I saw Geils opening for them in 81 and yeah they blew them off the stage. For a huge Stones fan at the time this was especially disconcerting for me. I had to admit J.Geils were the better more entertaining band that day though.

By far the best musician in the band and people don't even recognize him? What a bitch! Only shows how superficial the whole star trip is.

I think maybe at this time Keith still had the ego and chops to think he could compete with Mick T. After all, Taylor hadn't been in the band that long and it had been all Keith for quite some time before he joined the band. Richards has never been the player Mick is though and before long after exile I think he gave up and the heroin took over. All possibly to do with the fact he wasn

Whatever the case the bikers as I see it (by watching the film) were acting like @#$%& deserving of being shot and maybe Meredith felt the same way. Especially seeing he was a black guy in a loud suit with a very white chick at the time. A few facts that could have caused him concern around the Angels don't you think? piece

Wow what a story 69. That was the tour I first saw them live and so a favorite time in their history for me. They still seemed mysterious and a little dangerous. 78 I feel was the last time they were either due to over-exposure after that and I guess I just kind of grew up. 75 was an exciting time to see them though and I'll never forget the experience. Must have been terribly cool to ha

I know its true the Stones in particular were totally influenced by American blues musicians mostly black. Especially in their earliest years. I still have found it funny though how an obvious Englishman like Mick would sound more like Muddy Waters than he did on some nights and even on some of their most celebrated hits. Mick your not black ok.

Nobody else has ever lasted this long in rocknroll before so the Stones I believe would have gotten awfully bored by now had they kept it just the 4-5 core members. Sure they need Chuck and a few other key persons just to keep it interesting enough to even bother with after all these many years.
