Fantastic album...but suffers a bit from mixing and track choices. And from not having Charlie play on the title track! Here´s the version on my iPod; Living in The Heart Of Love - heavy and rowdy. Great opening track! Time Waits For No One - some beautiful plaintive gravitas to take you deeper into the record. Drift Away - Great cover.Starts a bit slow and gradually gains power and

Most important for SFTD... Bring a percussion player! Or two. The very idea of the prerecorded track is just embarrassing. Lose some horns. Add some percussion. - Best versions for me are the R´n R Circus and LA Friday. The DSD flat transfer of Love You Live is great as well, if to a lesser degree. I always loved that album but found too trebly, and was blown away by the "turqoise blu

Exile is fantastic! But more so in feel and groove than in actual song content. And as on Bleed a couple of songs are somewhat ruined by Jimmy Miller on drums. Not as horribly as YCAGWYW of course. Nvertheless. Happy and Shine a Light would have fared far better with Charlie on drums. Personally, I listen much more to Goat and IORR. Augmented versions, to be sure, but still. Doo Doo Doo

It would have been even better with the complete Roundhouse gig, and a few more alternate mixes and outtakes. Especially Brown Sugar 1 (or the one with no lead guitar and "brown sugar - sure tastes good" ) and the BS from the first Hot Rocks pressing. Those are the best and raunchiest versions. And "Reason Why " would have been great too. Nevertheless; I can´t wait to

Goat and IORR are the ones I listen to the most, and I love them both. Track for track... weird but I´m game. DWMD / IYCRAM - Rock me is a clear winner here 100 Years / Beg - ! 100 years ago on top Coming Down / IORR ...the latter. Doo Doo Doo /till the next goodbye... Doo Doo Doo Angie / Time... Time is the one Silver Train /Luxury... Silver Train! Fantastic song (though the altern

Save Me / Criss Cross man. At least two of the versions (mixes) on the Goat Outtakes are truly stunning! One with a brutal baritone sax and one more guitar dominated. The CCH edit of Still A fool is also a contender. As is Living In The Heart Of Love.

I largely agree with kowalski. Get the so called Turquoise Blue DSD flat transfer, . While not quite great as their transfers of Goat, IORR and Fingers (Some Girls is of course not as rich in sounds as those are), this series is the one that are either on par with my old japanese vinyls or better. A warm rich sound. And no, I don´t particularly enjoy the 2009 version either.

Quotemitch Quotespunky Give us a 20th anniversary Stripped box with audio and video of the Amsterdam, Paris and London club shows :-) Don't forget the Tokyo and Lisbon studio sessions. I am still hoping to hear one day their "I’m Left, You’re Right, She’s Gone" version. I heartily agree!( For anyone who does not have it, "the rubidium remaster " of the Brixton gig s

GHS and IORR are the ones I listen to the most. Granted, somewhat rearranged, with some tracks left off and outtakes included, but nevertheless. Now, if you haven´t already, then do yourself a favor and get the beautiful shm HR cutting, turquoise blue label version of IORR! (IORR, Sticky Fingers, GHS and, surprisingly, Love You Live seem to benefit the most in this format.) -Sounds

In a SHM vinyl replica turquoise blue fever, I bought Dirty Work along with all the other fantastic sounding / looking little wonders...silly me. I really tried to listen through it, but I can´t. Hate the sound! Bored by the songs.

Read this thread...and revisited ABB. Liked it fine when I got it, especially "Laugh.." and Back Of My Hand. I did some resequencing for my ipod a couple of years back, but haven´t listened it too much lately. So I gave all of it a spin. And I love it! To me it´s the richest most rewarding record since IORR. At least when as follows; 1. Rough Justice 2. It Won ´t Take Long 3. Let

Curious about these, but haven´t found a single review anywhere. Studio Sessions 1961-1963 Beggar´s Banquet Sessions Let It Bleed Sessions and Sticky Fingers Sessions -They do look good...but how´s the sound? Since they´re quite pricey it would be good to know about Mayflower´s quality control. Cheers!
