My fondest Stones song memory was the night I learned how to play my first song on guitar. It was "No Expectations". I was so excited that I just kept playing it over and over until I fell asleep.

I hope it is true. It would be a fascinating collaboration. It could really reinvigorate the fans on a level we have never seen.

I thought Rihanna was fantastic. The visual on the floating platforms was probably the most memorable of all time. Although I thought there were too many dancers in those white hazmat outfits and it would have been better with about a third of them. I actually reminded me of Bowie's glass spider tour where the were so many people on stage you had to struggle to decipher which one bowie was.

Quotedkwalika I heard on NPR that "Money" was the only song covered by both the Stones and Beatles (that wasn't written by one or the other). That seems had to believe. They both covered "Roll over Beethoven". I don't think the Stones version was officially released.

Alice Cooper at the Nassau Colosseum (Long Island, NY) summer of 1977. On the billboard sign outside it read "Elvis Presley" and he ended up passing away a few weeks later.

From the Byrds to CSN&Y. Some of my all time favorite songs. I only saw him perform once at the Live Aid Concert in Philadelphia in 1985. It was of the best "reunion" performances of the evening and there were plenty of them. RIP David. You made it a lot further than many would have guessed and I am glad you did. Farewell

I believe what a lot of die hard Stones fans would love would be one show of all the obscure songs requests that we have made. It could be a video taped rehearsal or an actually show. I know it would take a lot of effort to relearn or reinvent the songs. But they could play one or two of the rare songs per show after the rarities show. The songs would have to be from the Stones catalogue even

Shirley had a life well lived. She was there from the beginning and was a huge part of our Stones family. A lot of other people would not be too happy to see the spouse go off for months (Or more) at a time. But Shirley compromised and we were the ones who benefited from it. Thoughts and Prayers RIP Shirley Watts

I recall Charlie saying that he himself could easily live without fame but Mick could not. I believe it depends on what kind of mood Mick is in at the moment. No one is "on" all the time. I recently saw a video clip with Mark Knopfler asking rhetorically what good comes out of fame. Add to that the Stones are not just famous in Europe but internationally. It must be very difficult t

Maybe Stu got the better end of the deal not being considered a member of the Stones. I just saw a clip of Mark Knofler denouncing fame and asking what good comes out of it? I remember back at a Stones show in 81 in New Jersey. Before the band was on the crew was setting up the stage, there was Stu, right up there with the crew tinkering around with wires. Interesting thread!

I would honestly love to see Paul and Ringo come out with the Stones in England. Really no one other than them. I would Love to see Bill out there with them but I would no consider him a guest. He is still a Stone 100% to me. It is always great when one of the Stones comes out as a guest of another performer. I was lucky enough to (Unexpectedly) see Ronnie come out with Chuck at the Ritz in

QuoteGazza Quotetreaclefingers According to Rolling Stone, first time in a concert setting...Out Of Time: Mick introduced it as a live premiere. According to Bill's 'Rolling with the Stones', however, it was played on the Sep/Oct 1966 UK tour. I'll go with Bill. I recall Mick introducing 'Melody' at Shepherds Bush in 1999 as a song they'd never done live

It should be noted that the only live song on "Hot Rocks" was Midnight Rambler from "Get yer Ya ya's out". We don't know if the Stones themselves believe the live version is better, but it was a brilliant move to add a live number to a greatest hits album that featured their studio version hits. Definitely a both from me.
