QuoteDandelionPowderman Good list. However, I would have chosen Crazy Mama from El Mocambo instead. Yes, great version! But there are other versions worth listening to, so the idea was to include the unofficial ones.

Quoteagu82 On July 11 of 1964, Melody Maker published a handwritten piece by Mick under an aggressive head-line: “The top spot? I don’t care a damn…” Once again taking on the persona of a “rebel without a cause,” the article stirred major controversy as Mick openly attacked several bands and expressed his hatred toward others. It marked the beginning of a short-lived drama. video: Regard

QuoteHouseBoyKnows I met Stu in 1981 at the band's hotel in Syracuse NY (they were between shows at the Syracuse Dome). He was flipping through a men's magazine at the newsstand when I approached him. I remember asking if the band would please play Down the Road Apiece again during which I really enjoyed his piano, and that they should turn it up in the mix. He was very cordial and se

QuoteAntoineParis Quotematsumoto33 I think it’s him saying ‘we need a doctor by the left-hand scaffold..’ in Gimme shelter I’m surprised! Are you sure? I was convinced it was Sam Cutler. After talking to Keith, Stu approaches the mic and said: "We need doctors down here now, please. Can we have a doctor down here now to the front?" He's easy to spot because he's wearin

It's possible that the line heard in the movie Rewind, "Come on, you three-chord wonders, you're on!" is Stu's voice. We always hear about his musical talent in the studio and on stage. But are there other audio recordings of Stu speaking? We know he spoke for books, fanzines, and other interviews, but they're all still footage. There are only the testimonies Alexis Korner collected for his radio show about the band's beginnings. Does anyone know of any other files? video:
