Here is the book review, from the Guardian UK newspaper. Hope I Get Old Before I Die by David Hepworth review – living legends From McCartney to Dylan and the Stones, this portrait of rock longevity mixes fascinating detail with rash claims – but is never less than entertaining Alexis Petridis Alexis Petridis Thu 5 Sep 2024 08.30 CEST In July 1985, David Hepworth was one of the anc

This is great! When did Mick quit the rings, necklaces and jewellery?

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteJimmy C I read that email this morning and thought the same, how on earth does this get emailed to probably hundreds of thousands of email addresses without anyone with any knowledge of the band catching that. Because on that tour Mick said Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo was from BLACK AND BLUE. Not making that up. Not remembering which mediocre mid-70s album a tune is on 50

It's a great mash-up of Thru and Thru and All About You. It's short and well constructed, far better than those interminable ballads at the end of BtoB

I hope they clean up the sound of the original album. It has some fantastic songs, but it is so muddy.

Just Google 'tap bpm' and it will bring up a bunch where you tap your keyboard/mouse/phone along to the song for a few bars and it will give you the bpm

I've only seen a few clips, looks pretty cool, but I would suggest they need to up the distortion on those guitars! One thing I loved about the recent London shows I saw (2022ish and 2018ish) is that the guitars were LOUD and CRUNCHY throughout. (I know these are cell-phone recordings played through my computer)

I don't think it would work live in a stadium at all. It's a cool jam, but not much focus and I think people would be pretty bored pretty quickly. I realise I'm in a minority (of one, perhaps), but I actually prefers its 2023 offspring, Get Close.

Hi HS, no, I don't, but I hustled and talked to a lot of the door staff and they gave me several (and the tote bags and a cup cake!). Some ladies leaving also gave me a wrist band, so I got to go inside (although the event had basically finished by then). I also waited outside the backstage door, saw the three guys, and fist-bumped Ronnie! It was an amazing few days in sweltering E

Watching this made me rather sad. There is no way such a similar event could take place now in China, a western rock act playing to an enthusiastic Chinese audience.

That Tommy Melody was pretty horrible. Second guitarist doing a lot of PT's heavy lifting on the acoustic.

Thank you Manofwealthandtaste, I have seen some tickets available on Twickets too, but as a poor (financially) father of 3, I just can't justify that outlay, hence my rather desperate begging message! I'm a man of taste, just the wealth is missing!

"I'm a seeker, I'm a really desperate man'' Does anyone have a spare ticket for next week they would love to pass on to a long-time and very much appreciative fan? The Albert Hall shows are next week, and although I would love to go, I simply cannot afford the outlay. I know it's a charity show, I would happily make a donation for it to the TCT. I appreciate t

Indeed, it does seem a bit odd to spend so much time detailing why you don't like something (especially so long after the initial rush of responses). I, personally, don't care for SSOH at all, but I just skip it and concentrate on the other tracks that I love. And am happy for you guys that do rate that song.

Perfectly said. QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax If you haven't even been bothered to listen to it in months why on earth do you think you, we or anyone will benefit from these miserable-old-git style ramblings about an album you appear to hate and have barely listened to?

Cool, thank you for taking the time to tell us, Elmo. That Live At Knebworth album is certainly rocking! I've seen BW a couple of times over the past 20 years, including the debut of the full Pet Sounds in London in about 2002. Both occasions were truly moving experiences for me.

Nice Comments, Hopkins. I take it you're in LA? What do people there remember about Denny? Got me intrigued! Also, I love this tune too - so poppy and bright, but with a little sadness in that chorus backing 'ooooh oohh oooooh'. Always a little bittersweetness with Brian.
