Keith's solo's on Sympathy were very good although he sounded like he was turned down on the second one until late on that solo. It appears Keith plays much better with the bandana hehe. Seriously though it looks like you guys are in for a great tour, Mick and Ronnie seem to have more energy than the last tour, Steve is really drumming well now and Chanel Haynes is such an asset,

Just got back - a few thoughts. Bear in mind I hadn't listened to any tour recordings/videos before my first show... - Overall, thought it was very good, and very loose. There were a few enjoyable screw-ups... they couldn't work out how to end LSTNT; Keith started YGMR before Mick had chance to announce the song vote, and gave him a lovely 'ah shucks, sorry' grin and carrie

Quotedaspyknows QuoteChrisMahavishnu That was a spectacular version of Gimme Shelter, Chanel Haynes was on fire! Agreed. That was something else. This band is on fire tonight. The band - yes!! And Chanel: to scream out "Rape! Murder!" at the top of your lungs is just the right way for this!

After a grueling 5 1/2 hour drive to Glendale, I was impressed by how organized the early access was handled. 3 lines, one for pit A, one for pit B and one for rear GA. I didn’t realize they had early access tix for the rear GA. I stood for a mere 9 hours, but it was totally worth it. Yes, there were flubs by Keith and by Mick, and the sound in pit A was bad until someone adjusted something right

Rolling Stones continue to perform at a high level and Mick Jagger still has the moves Doug Pullen Special to the Times May 8, 2024 Glendale, AZ — A wise 77-year-old once revealed her secret to a lean, athletic body. “You’ve got to move,” she said. Like Jagger? No one does that. Still lithe and limber at 80, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger still has the moves. He led the Stones

Time is still on Mick Jagger's side as the Rolling Stones thrash State Farm Stadium Ed Masley May 8, 2024 Could there be a human being better suited to performing “Time Is on My Side” in 2024 than Mick Jagger at 80? To be clear, the Rolling Stones did not include that gospel-flavored classic in the set they played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Tuesday, May 7. But watc

When the Black Crowes are only doing 17 songs a show and someone like Clapton only does 14 we should be happy we are getting 18 from the boys every night! I am selfishly hoping Keith does Tell Me Straight or Get Close as his one song in Vancouver and maybe hoping in vain they do something like Depending On You but it’s great to see how they’re switching up two other classics every show. Time Is

QuoteMusicwinn It would be interesting to hear how Chanel sounds on Monkey Man. If she gets a solo part like Lisa in 11994/5, then she has 3 moments during a show! There is no more a "chorist spot" on Monkey Man since 1995 and that's a good thing.

Rolling Stones Perform ‘Time Is on My Side’ With New Orleans Legend Irma Thomas at Steamy Jazz Fest: Concert Review By Caryn Rose May 3, 2024 “We haven’t done a matinee show in years,” Mick Jagger observed drolly, halfway through The Rolling Stones’ first appearance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on Thursday evening. Short (streaming) review. Only the positive notes: Out Of Time is a very good song choice. Irma Thomas can still sing. Whole Wide World actually works live. Chanel Haynes is like a young Tina Turner to me - she can sing and has stage presence. I have some negative notes too but I keep them to myself for the time being...

QuoteGasLightStreet QuotePaintMonkeyManBlack Angry is clear that needs a lot of work. Unlistenable really and the worst performance of any stones live song i can remember. Yikes. I thought it was better than Anybody Seen My Baby, which was always awful. ASMB was just bizarrely bad overall, Angry at least thumps. Generally speaking Mick oriented tracks in recent decades don't work as

Get off my cloud is great. Mick is on fire with that one. Very much backing vocals but not chanel and bernard on stage. Looks strange. Rocks off playing is very very good. But a difficult song for mick to sing. Sometimes he nails it. Sometimes he doesn’t. In houston he didnt. Also on out of time his voice was kinda weak. Angry is clear that needs a lot of work. Unlistenable really and the wor

The rehearsal setlist had TMS so something happened for them to remove it from the setlist...issues for Keith (can't see any evidence of that on the videos?) or weather (covered stadium, so...), etc... And yes the "Vote" is RIGGED ! Has been since it was first introduced in 1994 ;-) QuoteMusicwinn Quotegotdablouse Been going through "Fake Fan"s videos on YT ant they

Quotegotdablouse Been going through "Fake Fan"s videos on YT ant they are absolutely stunning. I'd rank them as among the best ever and certainly the next best thing after being in the pit. Apart from the nearly obligatory Keithgate incident in the SMU intro I found the boys to be in fine fettle with a slightly different, edgier sound, might be the video of course but for once the

My random thoughts about the tour opener: My highlight of the night was the awesome T&A by Keith. Excellent delivery of guitar and vocals. Glorious noise he made hitting those riffs. Chanel nailed Gimme Shelter and SSOH. Her vocals took soul to new heights in those songs. Love her in the show. Ronnie everything guitar and good showman. I would like to have heard a little more from
