QuoteBlueranger Jeez! You guys will never change! Bickering over titles and names on songs you haven’t even heard yet! I know you: Before the eventual release, most of you have already written the album off as failure of the year. It’s the same every freakin’ time!!! Sorry to say it: GET A LIFE! I agree. Geeez

I’ve worked construction since I was 20. My body was broken at 54 years old and I ended up on disability. I never officially retired. I’m 64 now and live each day in pain. I’ve had 12 surgeries for broken bones, joint reconstruction, ligament damage and on and on. People say work hard and be tough. I would do it all over again not to feel this way.

Quotecyclist This title makes me hopeful. It's far more evocative than Honk or Grrr or A Bigger Bang or Gotta Get a Grip or even Living in a Ghost Town. That means nothing. Irrelevant.

I didn’t know Anthony Kiedis was a singer. I thought he was just a musical imbecile that couldn’t write a different melody if his life depended on it.

QuotePaintMonkeyManBlack Very underrated. Deserves to be listened more to from me. Instrumental version also nice. Great piano It’s not underrated. It reached number 1 on the charts. It’s been a fan favorite live for years and years. It’s always listed as one of The Stones top ballads. It has always given the credit it deserves.

Quotesotob Great thread and thanks to all who have shared their insights. I've come to the conclusion that no matter the release it will never sound "great" whatever that means. It will never sound like Keef playing next to you no matter what release you have, etc. Just enjoy the tunes I guess regardless of what you have... I personally can not hear the difference between nu

QuoteGasLightStreet Having Ringo drum on one or more tunes... would be incredible. With (or less likely) without Paul. Why not? At this point - it's a celebration. And as Paul alluded to, a return of gratitude, or something like that, with All We Need Is Love. So long ago... yet here we are, 300 years later or whatever it is. No matter. If what The Rolling Stones recorded with

Quotemickschix Sorry if this was answered already but I think that we need to find out what might be wrong with Mick's leg/ankle. Does he have an ortheopedic issue? If he does, that may remove any chances of a 2024 tour. He’s fine. He was fine at his Birthday party.

QuoteNilsHolgersson QuoteTopi Whether the Stones-Macca collaboration is any good is beside the point. It's historical! Right? You would think that about a Stevie Wonder - Macca collab, but it turned out to be Ebony and Ivory.. Macca by all reports plays a bass line on one track. That’s all

Quoterbk AC/DC were damned good but likely were remembered as having "blown off the Stones" because the Stones kept the crowd waiting over an hour. When they did finally come on much of the crowd was exhausted, thirsty and hungry. It was disconcerting sitting in the dark in another country with half a million strangers. Fortunately Canadians are a friendly lot. Still, we bailed when the

QuoteBlueranger Quote24FPS Why? He's just kind of noodling, adding little substance. He's there to fill a space. I'm convinced just about any competent bassist could do what he does. He played on the studio version of very few songs they've recorded and play live. He sounds like he has no emotional investment at all. When it's all said and done he'll be part of the S

QuoteHairball Quotejp.M QuoteHairball Bill was invited to play on the new album, so it's safe to say that he's probably been invited to attend Micks big 80th bash. Hope Mick Taylor will be there also. Paul McCartney has more than likely been invited also, along with Elton John, Pete Townshend, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, and other elderly rockers. And no doubt some much younger/con

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteRocky Dijon QuoteGasLightStreet Not sure. I can't ever recall reading anything here or elsewhere, like whatever magazine site that talks with Chris Kimsey about Start Me Up being from the same session as Miss You, that talked about either. If anyone of us would be invited what we give Mick as a present? How about a signed copy of Main Offender or one of those weird bear dolls? The $280 one of course.
