QuoteIrix Quotestonesman87 See that green line at far right of your .mp4? The reason for this was found, see the update above. Here's a new version (16:9, 1920x1080) - . Great, thanks very much. And have a on me.

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteTopi I thought this thread was about how to grab a drink... Same here Sorry to disappoint. Have a Hackney Diamond on me. ..... just gotta figure out the recipe, or could this be the start of something?

Hey Irix, thanks a lot for that. I thought of screen capture, but I hit a wall with the fact that it doesn't all show onscreen at once - I have to scroll down a bit to see the bottom of it. Now allow me to return the favour. See that green line at far right of your .mp4? If that's related to VLC, I can tell you that I encouneterd this only recently and found out how to get rid of

Well, sort of. has an eye-catching animated home page. I thought I could grab it as an .mp4, but no luck after plenty of searching through site tech. specs. The address has come up in site video analysis, but it doen't appear to be the animated home page feature. Can anybody grab it like a video and post a WeT link?

Ronnie, then Keith, had sit-down interviews with Jimmy Fallon, but no Mick yet (not including the skit in the freezer). Does anybody know if Mick is going to have a sit-down on The Tonight Show any time soon?

Hackney Diamonds. I find myself wanting to listen to it over and over again. It's like an addiction. It's certainly highly compelling. It's like a life review of everything they've done, with elements of so many wide and varied group and solo tracks that keep triggereing instinctive recognition. I want to keep hearing all the nostalgic and familiar sounds that appea

Uh, it took a long time for the penny to drop (with me, at least). I couldn't put my finger on it, but just this afternoon, it dawned on me ..... If I mentioned "Blame It On The Bossa Nova" in relation to "Angry", would that mean something to anybody?

Quoteshawnriffhard1 Love this kind of musical treasure map search! I had a bit of difficulty with Dreamy Skies because of the Short and Curlies echoes. Really like the tune overall though, and it has become less distracting the more I listen to it. Great. I decalre that anything goes with this topic. Therefore how about Brown Sugar influencing/prompting the sax solo in Get Close?

I'm sure I wouldn't be the first person to think that Get Close has an element of Slave in it. Continuing my suggestion that HD is uniquely like a Stones (and solo!) "greatest sounds" album, who would like to add to this small start: 1.Get Close - some Slave and, after listening to it for about the fifth time, I even got a bit of Too Much Blood (let's see who else can

Quotejosepi Quotestonesman87 These comments take it the step further that I'd already reached. What I mean by that is that it (the whole album) struck me as not just nostalgic with lots of familiar sounds. It was about another post that said it sounded like a Stones greatest hits album, but it's far more than that. It's a Stones "greatest sounds" album, with an alm

I can usually find the right ones with various search parameters. I found Angry that way, but you might be right - the other two just don't seem to be out there yet. The whole set of a subject like this can usually be found here and there at the one time, but this time it's different. They might appear one way or another a bit later.

A bunch of these lyric videos is at - 9 of the 12 album tracks. As so often happens, other official videos appear for some of the tracks. I found the Angry smashed disc one at but, after doing lots of different types of search, I still can't find the Mess It Up and Sweet Sounds of Heaven smashed disc ones. Can anybody find and post links to both of them?

QuoteLoveInVain69 Stone-cold absolute banger of a track. For me, the best thing they've done since 1981. Ear crack! Love it! That just about sums it up for me too. I was reminded of "Slave" almost from the start. Almost nostalgic to hear this one. Come to think of it, a number of other tracks have nostalgic throw-backs to Stones and MJ tracks from times past. Expecting a

QuotesanQ So which pressing will be the most collectable? A question without prejudice or notice: Why did this question start with the word "so"? Was use of the word "so" necessary at all? I ask this question because I find that sentences and, in particular, answers to questions, are frequently started with the word "so", but I can't deduce any logic or m

Quotestonesman87 Quotepeoplewitheyes Hey, Stonesman87, you do understand that many Londoners (especially in East London) drop their Hs when speaking, right? Yes, I am very much aware of that. However, on this occasion, with such an unfortunate result. Oh, BTW, I could perhaps deal with a title " 'ackney Diamonds ", but as for websites " 'ackneydiamonds.cum " or

Quoteschillid Quotestonesman87I've been taken by the comment about the title font "it looks like an old Chinese restaurant's lettering". right? Yes, to your credit, I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head. It's a stand-out relating to the cover of the unfortunately pronounced, twice, "Acne Diamonds".

Well, perhaps this thread could be renamed "if we had our time again", reasons being: 1. I've been taken by the comment about the title font "it looks like an old Chinese restaurant's lettering". 2. The man in the teaser telephone message starts off by saying "welcome to Acne Diamonds". It's true, have another listen. On that score alone, I thi

I was very surprised to find Roger Daltrey all the way down at #12. Take the "1" from that number, and he'd be in a position that I would not have been surprised about.

By the look of the title of the advertisement, the album title would be "Hackney Diamonds" (with a space), not "HackneyDiamonds". Official release information should sort that out.
