I didn't say Darryl has played Hang Fire live I just mean his over all playing and feel with the Stones. I'm glad he is up there on bass but to me he hasn't come close to Bill's feel for their sound.

Always loved Bill's bass playing on that one, yes I think Bill was a very underrated player and is really missing in the Stones sound. Sorry Darryl, but for me he has never sounded great with the Stones.

I know the playing is very fluid and seems like Taylor but when listening close there are parts that seem very much like Keith. Four Stone Walls under a different thread states its Keith but he also says Keith plays wah guitar on Heartbreaker? I know the playing seem too fluid for it to be Keith now days but back then? Fool to Cry live in 76 comes to mind.

I have always thought it was Keith on guitar, but have read that people claim it is Taylor on guitar. I just listen to this song a couple of times and still think it is Keith. I think they still could sound better. I recently downloaded a studio verson of If You Can't Rock Me that just smokes the offical IORR track. I've allways loved this tune but thought it didn't sound great. I have no idea why this much better mix isn't on the remasted disc.

SARS was bad from where I was. The guitars were so low and muddy sounding I could not believe it. The worst sound I have heard by any band anywhere. I would have felt more comfortable standing ther naked then in my Stones shirt. Lucky for ABB tour so SARS didn't end up being my finale Stones show.

I'm sure he uses the Tele neck position pick-up on TD and YCAGWYW towards the end of these songs when he starts noodling around and then changes back to the bridge pick-up for the end of the song. Listen on Miss you when playing his STRAT he does the opposite. Starts with the the neck pick-up and then switches to the bridge pick-up. Glasgow 06 around the 4:10 mark!
