THIRTY ( 30 ! ) different covers! Ridiculous. The nitwit graphic concept of grafting a frigging baseball onto the Stones' tongue logo is lame and creepy. ... This graphic "collaboration" suggests that there is some connection between the Rolling Stones and Major League Baseball. But I can't think of any. Is there a point ? ... besides $$$ ?

Having pioneered the "Stones GIF genre" myself years ago <lol> with my original ATTIC thread ... I can't help but think that I may have inadvertently "inspired" this monstrosity. Not to mention ... I know some of the graphics people at MLB in Secaucus, nj from my tv news graphics days... I wonder if they "designed" this! I hope not ... if so, shame o

The sheet music is wrong on purpose I think, because of the naughty words in the lyrics. The sheet music for HTW, if I recall correctly, read "I played a divorcee in New York City" instead of "I laid a divorcee ..."

Apparently Epiphone Hummingbird and Epiphone Masterbuilt Hummingbird are two different things! I read a comment on Amazon that the Masterbuilt (USD $849) is all solid wood, and the Epiphone Hummingbird (USD $449) is laminate. Cannot verify this myself

There are exceptions, but I think that mainly: It's "THE Rolling Stones" when someone is SPEAKING about the band. For branding etc... Rolling Stones (omitting "The") is used mainly in PRINT.

This is an ANGRY post. The two threads were merged... but I think it was good to have separate threads about the song versus the video.

Quoteschillid Anyone else see a similarity? This one is also evocative of Exile: (even with Ron instead of Mick T.)

Quoteschwonek I admire the people who put some much work in this video. The billboards are amazing and they represent so many iconic pictures of the Stones... Looks like quite a lot of work went into this with After Effects... Tracking, rotoscoping (ugh!), layering, compositing ...

As an example of what I am talking about... Imagine if the band was introduced at a show: "Ladies and gentlemen, Rolling Stones!" It just doesn't sound right. In this case, I think they would always use the word "The".

"The Rolling Stones" (or just "The Stones" for short) refers to the band as a unit, or to the individual members. "Rolling Stones" (nowadays often shortened to just "Stones" ) seems to be used now to brand music or tours or merchandise, etc.
