I've been listening to this band relentlessly for the last few months. I especially dig the last 2 albums before their breakup; "Brighten the Corners" and "Terror Twilight". Lead singer and guitarist, Stephen Malkmus has some very nice solo discs out as well. I'll be seeing him at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC in April....cant' wait!

Thanks guys. I didn't get any socks for my b-day, but I got 2 sweet gifts: my daughter got me 2 tickets to see The Cure at Radio City Music Hall...I'll be taking her with me; and my wife got me the ION USB turntable that was discussed here awhile back. It allows you to turn record album tracks into mp3 files. That should keep me busy for a long, long time.
