The second weekend is amazing once you drop past Stevie Nicks, Jimmy Buffet, HER, Tedeschi Truck and Beach Boys. I could not be bothered with any of them. I'm considering going, leaving each night before the headliners and back at the Maple Leaf or down Frenchman's to see local music.

Unless they were just moving slow in 2015 it took about that long. I live near the stadium and drive by daily and caught part of set up and take down. Then again, the firm AEG subcontracted to run things did not pay about 100 stage hands till well after the show, as half the checks bounced, so maybe that had something to do with it. Off-season for the Bills and no pressure maybe then to move

The Buffalo Bills play in Buffalo 9/12 then are gone till 9/26. I believe it took about a week to get the stadium ready for their 2015 show, and then 3 days to clear all out. So the 16th is in that window.

Chuck does not have the same style as Stew, Nicky Hopkins, Billy Preston or Mac. But then again, who does.....and also has the ability to be part of the glue of THIS particular band?

A PR move. Where you're incorporated and your place of business is in the states, and whether you're represented by a union contract are the main factors on whether you can let someone go in a situation like vaccine status. If the employer decides it's a condition of employment, and you choose to not meet that condition, and the employer lets go everyone who is not vaccinated, you

Lol Zeppo1. I like Face Dances, too. The first tour with Kenny was great, saw them a few times. But 1982 shows sometimes lacked energy for sure. It was supposed to be a 'farewell tour' and they definitely seemed to be much less adventurous on-stage, less energy. They seemed to have fun at most of the shows I was at, but that fire was gone. 1989 was like seeing a tribute band. Fu

At least when I saw them on the 79 tour, in Buffalo, at a few points they bounced into 'jams' a few times. Off "Sparks", with the band on fire, just pouring energy onto the crowd like gasoline onto a fire, it seemed like they needed to bring it down a notch and started 'Dance It Away' and give Roger a few second break before launching into 'Won't Get Foole

NFL schedules will be out shortly. Maybe once NFL dates at stadiums are solid bands can then find routing that works. I know here in Buffalo Billy Joel and Def Leppard have dates in August for the stadium. But I am guessing all will depend on which states/localities seem 100%to on board with allowing 100% capacity at their venues.

I think this piece is, lyrically at least, as current in 2018-today in the US as it was in 1972-73, maybe more-so. Police shootings constantly in the news, often for mistaken reasons, like this week's shooting of a 20 yr old black kid when the officer mistakenly pulled her pistol instead of her taser, putting a bullet in his chest. I have not heard a live version in decades that was anyw

Totally agree Mathis. Their last great, daring album, social/political commentary, sex...not sure why Jim Barber was or why is plays what is lasted as .main guitar' on Too Much Blood but Keith throws down some great riffs on most of the rest of the songs. Wanna Hold You, All The Way Down and Must Be Hell are great gems. True story: I moved to Buffalo at the end of 1983 and was out cele

I saw him open for The Who and The Clash at Rich Stadium, outside Buffalo in September 1982. I was not a Dolls fan, and knew little of him, but I remember him covering some The Animals' "We Gotta Get Outta This Place' though I may be wrong. Memory a little foggy with the passage of time...and booze we snuck-in.

I was there! Weather was bad when George Thorogood started - driving rain and very windy. Stagehands had to cut away the speaker coverings/scrim fabric for fear of the wind blowing the towers over. Thorogood pointed his guitar at the sky while banging away and suddenly the rain stopped and the skies turned blue (storms move in off Lake Erie very quickly and while the crowd was facing east and a

To meet there is Rock-n-Roll and there is Rock. Rock-n-Roll swings, invites people to dance or shake, rattle and roll. Led Zeppelin in rock. ACDC is rock. Stones are mostly rock. Rock Around The Clock - Bill Haley and the Comets Johnnie B Goode (though No Particular Place To Go works) - Chuck Berry - could name 10 of his songs and have a great list without adding anyone else. I owned a printing company for many years. I wish I kept waste sheets from some of the CD packaging we printed. I'd have made more money. Large lithographic printing presses use from 100 to 800 sheets of paper to set them up and get the inks consistent and the color matching what it should. To save money and reduce physical waste, printers will use previously printed waste paper from oth

Given the state of PA's still in 1966, and that the show was played to a half-filled arena, I am guessing that any audience recording is a big echo, lol. The Buffalo newspapers of the time ran articles about the lack of interest or enthusiasm for tickets for the show, and the sparse crowd - questioning if the could be the 'last time' for the Stones. The bad was a thing of the pa

I remember seeing him climb to the top of a massive speaker tower at a stadium show in Buffalo circa 1977-78 during Katmandu. Tight band. Part of an odd bill for a daytime show with Donovan, J Geils Band, Bob Seger and after some fun rock n roll and blues....Yes. Kind of a contrast between 3 minute rockers and a 20 minute mellow tune. Not even a light show to add some mood. Seeing Magic Dick

Love to hear that version of his band, Mops. I only have a recording from a bit before he died, from a small club here in Buffalo with the Suffering Bastards. Actually a good recording or songs that Bobby (according to Bobby) played on in his career (I keep doubting he was old enough to play on Dion's The Wanderer, but wtf do I know lol). I did not get to the show but it sounds like it was

I paid $21 Canadian for my ticket ($16 US at the time) and brought my then 13 yr old son with me, driving up from Buffalo the day of the show, checking into a downtown hotel and taking a 15 minute subway ride to the show. No traffic, no hassles - really well run. We got there when the Flaming Lips were on-stage. Skipped the first couple of bands as I wanted to check out other parts of the e

I may be wrong, but at one if the 2 Brussels shows, didn't Keef kind if jump the gun on Mick's harmonica opening? Mick says something like 'someone's quick tonite?' and Keef launches into it at a faster tempo? Thinking the pre-show coke was amazing that night? OK, maybe they had an extra cup of tea.... I personally MUCH prefer the guitars in 1973 to any Stones shows
