We interviewed Steve Jordan and Chuck Leavell last week for the film. Both very candid and very smart. They said a lot of interesting things about Darryl, the Stones and music in general. They are outspoken and fascinating people.

Thanks, Rollin92. I appreciate the good wishes. Darryl has told me that his favorite song to play with the Stones is Midnight Rambler, because of all the changes and improvisational, unpredictable nature of the song... He follows Keith and goes when he goes...

QuoteRollin92 Quoteroundnround I interviewed Bernard Fowler for the film and asked him how the Stones sound has changed or evolved since Darryl has been in the band. He said this: "It rolls a little more, there’s a little more groove factor with Darryl. It could be because of where he is from, Chicago….Those boys know how to play bass; that bass with no frills, no bullshit rock solid bas

I can't give away everything in advance of the film, but since you asked I will tell you that Ronnie said this: "It’s a bit like when I was with The Faces we didn’t miss Ronnie Lane until he had gone because he sat in there so simply and his parts were very clever and I think Bill is a bit

Quotemarcovandereijk It's a trailer of course, so it's just meant to tease me into watching the whole movie, but seeing this I wonder if there will be any explanation (by Charlie and/or Keith) about how Darryl fits into the famous Stones sound. That which Bill called "The Wobble". I asked Charlie about "the Wobble", but he said he had not heard this term from Bil

Quoteduke richardson was that 'Emotional Rescue' I heard in the trailer, at some point..? great example of Ronnie Wood playing bass.. This is the live Hyde Park version with Darryl on bass... But you're right, Ronnie played a great bass line on the original studio version...

"Roundnround did they give their opinions of Bill? You mentioned before they said some nice stuff but I was wondering what exactly." The film is focused on Darryl so I mainly asked questions about him, but Charlie did say that Bill had some incredible bass licks, and that he appreciated Bill's love of early Chicago blues and liked his series "Blues Odyssey"… Darryl sai
