What I recollect is how, following several false starts, it was decided that Keith should lay down the acoustic guitar part to You Can't Always Get What You Want, this would then be 'broadcast' through a speaker, the Stones would 'accompany' it, and Brian would simply mime the part. this makes sense and seems true. If you watch and listen to the original black and w

I saw it in NYC on the IMAX screen. I thought it was the greatest film experience I ever had!!! So big and loud, it was like I was on the stage with them. Amazing. The video/DVD does not do it justice. Months later the TV special "Making of At The MAx came out. Very intersting showing how they later overdubbed and refilmed a lot of it in a studio, mainly because in those days, the IMAX f

Actually the 3- D Terrifying was a TV rebroadcast and re mix broadcast on TV May 1990, in which 3 songs from AC, possibly from the final december 19th 1989 night, were broadcast in 3-D and the 3-D glasses were available at 7 Eleven. the 3-D was not from the original pay per view in 1989.

Quotegotdablouse That's a thought, if you can post yours I'm sure some of the wizzards here can make it work! I went back and listened to my tape, It appears my Undercover recording before the release may be the Extended Cheeky Mix. My She Was Hot pre release DJ promo extended 7 minute version is in very good quality but the DJ speaks over the first few seconds only

The DJ overdubs on these two songs vary, depending on the radio station/town that received what seemed to me at the time in 1983 was a tape, hence the slight warbling effect and poorer quality. I recorded these songs off the radio in 83 from WMMS Cleveland. My versions have the DJ/station ID in different portions of the songs from bootleg versions on CD I have heard. I suppose with better technol

Quotebmuseed deardoctortake1-- as to voices with Belli in the 1970 version. The first guy at 17:00 is Richard St. John head of Filmways not the sheriff. Later Belli talks to the sheriff (I come in at around 43:07 with the number of cars count..in reply to the sheriffs speaker phone query). Does this help? Ron thanks so much for replying and viewing the film. I just watched the DVD aga

Mr Schneider You were in the room, referred to, and filmed during that lawyer conversation with the different voices. I thought for sure you would be able to answer that Maybe if you watch that section again it will be more clear

And while we are on the subject and using facts, perhaps Mr. Schneider can explain why Maysles used an alternate Lawyer voice on the phone talking to Mel Belli in the orignal 1970 film, but in the 1986 ABKCO released changed the Lawyers voice with additional and alternate script. It's the part where Mel says "This is Mel Belli, the lawyer from SanFrancisco", the voice on the pho

QuoteKoen Quote2000 LYFHHunter's murder took place, Lord save us, while the Stones were playing "Sympathy for the Devil." No. It was Under My Thumb. Actually the murder toook place after the Under My Thumb False start, before The actual Under My Thumb. Maysles moved the murder to make it appear after the second take of Under My Thumb. I figured this out by listening to the au

While I claim to have seen these white corners every so often, including my copy, which has the dashes for cutting, I never actually loooked to see if the white corners had these dashes or not at the record shows where I passed on buying because I already had a copy. Very interesting, and I will pay closer attention in the future. thanks for the info, hopefully these are rare.

I don't think this is very rare. I see these and the black corners often at record shows Bought mine years ago for 7 US dollars. It is NOT made to cut your own corners. If you look at the binding, cutting of the corners will cut off the title and serial number on the album. It was more expensive ,ie the 3-d Satanic, to produce the octagon for a long run, or for any overseas run. It was c

I was anxious to receive this box set because it appeared some previously unavailable El Mocambo tracks, ie Brown sugar, Jumpin Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Women, Star Star etc were listed as El Mocambo 77. However I was disappointed to hear that they were Frankfurt 76. It's a nice box set package with coloured vinyl, booklet, silver CDs etc. of El Mocambo. But the other tracks were false.
