Quotekeefriff99 QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotekeefriff99 Quotemosthigh His solo on Sympathy for the Devil from 'At the Max' (Wembley 1990) is one of the best and longest I've heard. That was what came to my mind as well. When I first got into the Stones, I couldn't figure out why Keith didn't play like this more often. He don't really enjoy it, according to himself

Just picked up the CD today. Not quite sure why, I have the official film, bootleg film, audio bootlegs of the film, bootlegs of those texas shows, but I guess I just had to have it. Nothing to report, its the same sound as the film and audio bootleg of the film we have had for awhile. I just wish they would have released a later 72 show. I mean if you listen to that tour they play better in

QuoteMunichhilton QuoteMr. Jimi Quotekeefriff99 QuoteMunichhilton I think they come more from a Who background but they've played Sympathy, Angie, Shattered, Tuesday, Shelter, Friend, and Burden...I know I'm missing 3 or 4 others they've tried to. Didn't they do Knocking sometime? Eddie is a well-documented Who fan: However, I didn't realize that PJ had covered so

I was there the other night. Pretty good version, ed has done it with PJ just 3 or 4 times. Best version was in Pittsburgh 2006 which was dedicated "to a little group called the Rolling Stones".

Does anyone have the link to a web site that had 1972 tour photos from each tour date? You could click on the city and photos would appear. I was on it a few years ago (maybe 10 years ago) and I've been searching for the web site for the last 2 hours and figured I would ask the IORR gang if anyone can remember it or knows it . . . thanks.

For me the studio version is the floor; as its what the song is suppose to be. The live versions are variations and expressions by the band at different times. My fav live versions would probably have to be London 73 and Philly 72.

I taped the Stones 1998 Foxboro, MA. Small sony walkman that had a record feature. Terrible recording but I loved to listen to it!

QuoteTheflyingDutchman Quotebigmac7895 Read this article today and it says they played CYHMK at the first show with Wild Horses before dropping it. I know Wyman said they were played in his book and several folks argued saying he was wrong. Is there any audio of this show? Or could this be considered a Holy Grail show? I would love to hear CYHMK 1971, curious to hear how Taylor played his imp

QuoteHonkeyTonkFlash I don't think I've seen pictures of him doing that after 1978... I've seen some photos from Europe 82. In the film Let's spend the night together there is a Montage sequence at the end of satisfaction (@ 2:20) and shows Mick throwing his water bucket

QuoteBashlets 69 thru 72 the bucket with rose pedals. Europe 73 thru Europe 82 water buckets. I think he may have used a fire hose in 1978 at stadiums I think that sounds right. Wonder if it was nearly every show during that stretch, or just when he felt the urge to do it

QuoteRollingFreak Wasn't he doing it on the Ya Ya's tour? So thats pre-72. Don't think he did it on the American tour of 1969. I found some photos from 1973 Europe (thank you Mr. Google) but I can't figure out how to post, damn!

Can we pinpoint the first water bucket that Jagger threw onto the crowd, and can we pinpoint the last water bucket? Did he start it in 1972? 73? or 75? Last one on the 81 tour? 82 tour? Any photos of the Jagger using it on the crowd from each tour?

My God!!! Rock music is dead! We will never see a performance like this ever again nor will we hear lyrics like this again on live late night TV or any TV show. There are no young rock bands that could do this now. Not only because they wouldn't be able to get away with the lyrics nowadays but because there are no young rock bands being showcased on American TV. Gone is rock'n'roll

Love the Grateful Dead. On of my favorite American bands. They brought country, folk, rock, hillbilly, rockabilly, blues, psychedelic, etc forms of music to an audience that wanted to shake their bones. Saw them approximately 25 times (I think) from 1988 through 1994. I was late to the game. The band's different incarnations since Jerry G died have been unfulfilled experiences for me.

Quotekeefriffhard4life Peyton manning will always be the greatest. Went to and won super bowls with different teams, different systems, different coaches, different GMs, some of that switched while he was on the teams. Peyton misses a season and the colts get a top draft pick. Brady misses a season and they go 11-5 with matt cassell and miss the playoffs due to tiebreakers. Brady suspended, no

I like Billy, particularly his early stuff. His piano had such a full sound, very rich in texture. He had a few great songs, I was around 12 when Glass Houses came out. My cousins and siblings played it non stop all summer. The 80's washed over Billy and it was all down hill from there . . . Have to say, I saw the show he did in the USSR on TV recently. Wow, bad clothes, but good rock

Great find Deltics! I could watch 72-73 era Stones all day. Great to see an almost complete Brown Sugar. Seems as though in those days and probably for sometime after the press was allowed to shoot the first song? Seem to remember something like that . . . wish they didn't just center their attention on Mick, cause the band looks great. By the way, the crowd is a bit calm, anyone else cat
