QuoteBashlets 69 thru 72 the bucket with rose pedals. Europe 73 thru Europe 82 water buckets. I think he may have used a fire hose in 1978 at stadiums I think that sounds right. Wonder if it was nearly every show during that stretch, or just when he felt the urge to do it

QuoteRollingFreak Wasn't he doing it on the Ya Ya's tour? So thats pre-72. Don't think he did it on the American tour of 1969. I found some photos from 1973 Europe (thank you Mr. Google) but I can't figure out how to post, damn!

Can we pinpoint the first water bucket that Jagger threw onto the crowd, and can we pinpoint the last water bucket? Did he start it in 1972? 73? or 75? Last one on the 81 tour? 82 tour? Any photos of the Jagger using it on the crowd from each tour?

My God!!! Rock music is dead! We will never see a performance like this ever again nor will we hear lyrics like this again on live late night TV or any TV show. There are no young rock bands that could do this now. Not only because they wouldn't be able to get away with the lyrics nowadays but because there are no young rock bands being showcased on American TV. Gone is rock'n'roll

Love the Grateful Dead. On of my favorite American bands. They brought country, folk, rock, hillbilly, rockabilly, blues, psychedelic, etc forms of music to an audience that wanted to shake their bones. Saw them approximately 25 times (I think) from 1988 through 1994. I was late to the game. The band's different incarnations since Jerry G died have been unfulfilled experiences for me.

Quotekeefriffhard4life Peyton manning will always be the greatest. Went to and won super bowls with different teams, different systems, different coaches, different GMs, some of that switched while he was on the teams. Peyton misses a season and the colts get a top draft pick. Brady misses a season and they go 11-5 with matt cassell and miss the playoffs due to tiebreakers. Brady suspended, no

I like Billy, particularly his early stuff. His piano had such a full sound, very rich in texture. He had a few great songs, I was around 12 when Glass Houses came out. My cousins and siblings played it non stop all summer. The 80's washed over Billy and it was all down hill from there . . . Have to say, I saw the show he did in the USSR on TV recently. Wow, bad clothes, but good rock

Great find Deltics! I could watch 72-73 era Stones all day. Great to see an almost complete Brown Sugar. Seems as though in those days and probably for sometime after the press was allowed to shoot the first song? Seem to remember something like that . . . wish they didn't just center their attention on Mick, cause the band looks great. By the way, the crowd is a bit calm, anyone else cat

Don't like the idea of a 73-77 box set. I think the band in 77 was a very different from their 73 version. They are many different aspects of these two bands. Different personnel, different sound, different direction, different audience, different music scene, etc., etc. A 71-73 box would be nice; 68-70; 75-76; 77-82 would be nice as well and so on and so forth...

What a tough question to answer. I've had to really think about this one. My worst experience at a concert has to be: #1 Dave Matthews- Boston Garden 2011 (I think). What a bore of a show. It all sounded the same to me. Can't remember if I heard one guitar solo. The tall muscle guy's sound playing that damn violin/fiddle every song was most annoying. #2 Bryan Adams and some

It seems politically correctness has usurped art. "He's called the hit and run raper in anger" really? It's more powerful, more menacing, more artful in the 1st person. Jagger changes a few other lyrics, the most notable for me is the Midnight Rambler, black girls in Some Girls, and the age of the girl in Stray Cat. Rock music nowadays plays to the lowest common denominat

I'm Your She's Mine is the opening song on the set list. Why? I know its a Johnny Winter song, and his version is pretty good, but really? The Stones are playing first (real) show since 1967 and they open with that? One side of me is saying very cool, in fact i wish they had mixed up the set lists back then etc etc; but the Stones are not that kind of band. i just think its a bit odd

Quotetimmyj3 I was born in 1960. We always had a radio on at the house growing up. I decided I loved the Stones when I heard "Get of My Cloud" the first time. We had lots of access to records as my dad ran a Woolworths store in Milwaukee. He actually ordered records through the distributor. We had a promo copy of Out of our Heads. A few years later me and my 10 year old buddies shot hol

Didn't Keith write about the Marquee show in Life? I remember him saying that it was a few days after the UK tour and he wasn't in great shape for that gig. He showed up late and they were all bitching at each other and dealing with the camera crew or something like that. Wasn't it also performed in front of family and friends for a TV special and certainly not a "real&quo

QuoteSeb91 QuotePhillyFAN Well there is still time for them to change their minds about bringing Taylor back. The tour does not start until the end of May. Plenty of time to rehearse a few songs. If Mick Jagger thinks the fans want him back, I believe they will put him in for a few songs. The thing is, as has been said, without MT the guys can still sell out stadia in seconds all over the world
