QuoteTooToughThe most disgusting thing about the spectacle was that all those "celebs" became Stonesfans overnight. When asked which Stones song they like best, the main answer was, guess what: Satisfaction. One semi-celeb-chick said Angie. Ralf Möller, an muscle idiot who acts in Hollywood was asked. Quiet. The interviewer said: "Honky Tonk Women? Or Satisfaction?" Möl

QuoteErik_SnowHere's another picture from the 2nd Frankfurt show. I wonder what that bucket is doing there... Here's my three guesses: 1) The bucket is there for Jagger to throw it over the audience (don't know if he ever did that, though). 2) It's filled with water and used as an ashtray. 3) The real reason might be: If you are performing indoors (may it be in a theat

Agreed, Bjornulf - that might be it. But they're still hoping for a performance over there in Berlin, although it doesn't seem realistic.

Well, there will be a long (2hrs) opening gala before the actual screening of the opening movie. During this, several performers will perform. The festivals manager, Mr Dieter Kosslick, is very good in persuading people...he's a cool cat, and if anybody would be able to persuade Mick to perform it might be him (in alliance with Scorsese). I know that they reserved a spot for them for a

I'd chose the first one, 'cause of Miles Davis. Saw him live once in 1986 but wasn't ready for it (I was only about 15 back then), so I'd like to see him again now that I love his music. Used to be a Doors fan one and a half decade ago, seeing them live once would be a thill. The Who with Moon and Entwistle would be the icing on the cake. By the way: This is a fanta

"Shine A Light" will open this years Berlinale film festival in Berlin on February 7th. It's the first time this festival will open with a documentary movie. Martin Scorsese and the band members are expected to attend the world premiere of "Shine A A Light" in Berlin. Strange choice. Great choice. I will be there for sure.

Im a huge jazz fan and play in a jazz band myself; I don't care if it's jazz, blues, rock'n roll, swing, calypso, country as long as i like what i hear. I can listen to beggars b. in the morning, sonny rollins in the afternoon and radiohead in the evening. If you haven't entered the world of jazz music: there's quite a lot to discover. I like the way Dylan mixes al

Judging from all those clips and from the reports by people who have actually been there, they've nailed it. I think they sound great! They delivered. Kudos! And I'm getting sentimental over it, drinking a glass of wine and enjoying all those clips!

Blondie Chaplin is such a great musician, his own work is fantastic and I really like his "work" on stage, may it be playing guitar or doing some percussion. Good to have him there. Oh, by the way: If you think playing maracas or other percussion while singing is easy and simple...you're wrong. Out-of-time percussion can ruin a whole song. It's not that easy to get the cowbe

Foreigner are playing? That's bad... I mean it's for a good cause, but... Regarding Ronnie: I guess he'll have a guest spot somewhere during the show, not as an MC but he'll play, maybe in the Grand Finale?

1) Nirvana in 1994. Had tickets for a concert in March, but show was cancelled. Had considered to go to Munich to see them on Feb. 2, but then the March show nearby was announced. 2) Stones/ ACDC Oberhausen (2003?) - could have gone but wasn't feeling well that day. Nice double-bill, though. 3) Johnny Cash (1993?), Cologne...could have gone, had a free ticket, but hadn't "dis

The ghost note phenomenon is hard to explain, but I will try... Every note has certain overtones. You can try this at home if you have a piano. Hit a "G" note and remember it. Than hit the "C" below and listen carefully. At the end, when the note is fading, you can clearly hear the "G". If a few people sing very precisely (and those voices are arranged in a c

I normally have a premium account on rapidshare and it is well worth the (little) money. It never let me down, it's always working and the downloads are fast and reliable. It's highly recommended. Even without a membership it's easy to use, just log off and log in again and you can DL more. It only takes me about five seconds to do that.

Great news! I'm not a Brit, but wasn't there something about blowing up the Houses of Parliament on Nov. 5th? And wasn't Guy Fawkes the guy who wanted to do it? Only guessing here...read something about it a John Lennon biography, in connection with Lennon's song "Remember". Please correct me if I'm wrong.

VERY happy to hear that. I was really worried at the start of the tour. I never intended to bash Keith (who am I?). But I just thought his playing was sub-par at the first shows and not comparable to the occasional sloppiness in his playing that we all know (and love, at least me!) since Keith knows when...

To satisfaction2 and others regarding "The Temptations": Actually, I friend of mine (member of the band I play in) is going to fly to Valencia today to perform with "The Temptations" later tonight (as a stand in in the horn section). He promised me to find out how many original members of the band will be there or if Dennis Edwards is still with the group. I'll tell
