Well...I like to sit down with an acoustic guitar..I think Keith does too. Then..sometimes..when things are cooking..you get the urge to jump up and move and stuff. So you do...and it's not that hard for the duration of a song. Longer will be challenge..but by then you've already got your yaya's out and you looked cool doing it. spontaneous kind of thing Soundwise? You

Mine is Nothing on me..Keith sticking with his bad ass image on this one. Lot's of vulnerable stuff on other ones. I like 'em all but this one sticks out to me. I bought it on vinyl and what surprised me is how the bass is so heavy in the overall sound..wich is no problem at all. Anyone notice this?

keith's solo on sympathy is the most brutal solo ever played..for me it's all about sound and tone..that lays bare the real emotion within the player. after that of course the timing and phrasing makes all the difference..and he nails that too on this one. But yeah.. I haven't heard anything that rivals that little solo..it just kills Then I like young Johhny winters soloing

Superb version of BOB...everybody in top form on one of the best songs ever( wow, Ronnie!!).. Listen to DJ....he adds...nothing. plays the same line..same tempo..for minutes, wtf! is he even there in his mind? unreal...if BW was playing here, it would have been better then the 81 live version.

guys....hahaha! when there is more then one instrument playing..it's weaving. how interesting the result of the NEW piece of music that has now been created is up to the players and their chemistry I can't believe there's even talk about this...how funny. Keith uses the term mainly in reference to guitarplayers being able to intertwine chording and riffing/soloing at wi

DJ is always a fraction too 'late' where as Bill was right in the pocket. Keeping keith and mick on their toes..make no mistake He was NO DOUBT as important as anyone else in the band to create the stones magic. His playing was urgent/exciting...like the band itself. I always try to like DJ...but i just can't. He's a fine musician..there's millions of 'em.

QuoteGasLightStreet Reading about their tours in the 1970s has made me wonder - why did they bother? They were so coked up, heroined up, drunk, screaming, not singing, too fast, too slow, sloppy, getting busted... Keith. "Oh man, we're going on the road again... haaarrrrrghhhhh, I better hook up." For what? Playing and travelling isn't exhausting enough? Poor Charlie.

it's a kick ass song. cutting edge rock and roll..stones proving it can evolve and stay fresh. It's just a lot of people aren't in to that. They like what they know and now have grown old. To call this song generic is ridic. Some of ya'll may have gotten a little..yes

Quotepowerage78 Yes, I think they should stop playing this one. Off course a classic but Keith solo is really painful. QuoteTheBlockbuster Quotepowerage78 Oh my god... QuoteRedhotcarpet Ronnie and Keith should share that solo. Let Ronnie have a go at it ffs. Shocking... Hard to believe this inspired version with a great solo by Keith was only two years ago: painfully beautifull i

Quote24FPS Quotemudbone @#$%& whining babyboomer music snobs make me sick! There shitloads out there...go find it you lazyass bore. (24FPS!) wtf that stand for? fkkn poopie shit? 24FPS stands for 24 Frames Per Second, which is standard film measurement for the approximation of life speed. Animation had traditionally been drawn as 24FPS. As for your name, is that where you like the bone

sounds like EC is on H here..he's quite the laidback player...to laidback for the stones imo. sounds like he's always a little to 'soon' with his licks here. stones play behind the beat, he misses that. Never really a group player. One of the greatest nevertheless!!

Quotedmay "@#$%& whining babyboomer music snobs make me sick! There shitloads out there...go find it you lazyass bore." Interesting comments from Mudbone. I don't mind being dissed. But I sure ain't no music snob. I will listen to anything at least once. If it's good and interesting I'll explore what else the performer/artist has done. Otherwise, my lazy butt

Quotedmay I'm reading through the thread and I come to entry where SonicDreamer notes Sonic Youth as one of the bands that demonstrated this "experimental edge and transcendent quality". Okay. What I remember of Sonic Youth is that they opened for Neil and The Horse back in the early 2000s. They and Neil came to play at the old Capital Centre in Largo, Maryland, near Washington, D.

Quote24FPS It's such a weird question. What is rock, like 60 years old? It would have been like asking what is The Greatest Big Band Orchestra in 1998. It's over. There's nothing truly vital out there, a few fossils that can supply some surprising fire power, like Jeff Beck and ZZ Top, a few nostalgia acts like the Stones, and a very occasional modern group like Jack White creating

Quoteseanm Hi folks Long time lurker, first time poster here. I just wanted to add my thoughts on the Brisbane show. I had two lucky dip tickets for Brissie and was a little gutted to see 'Restricted Rear View' when I collected them. I explained to my 8yr old son (at his first Stones concert, in fact his very first concert... What a way to start!) that we would probably only see
