Thanks for your post Thommie, but Rock Passions now has a new, different URL. If you visit the address you just supplied, you will find Rock Passions is no longer there!

Hello all, I recently received the new address for Rock Passions via email from JP. I was sure that I had added the new address to my favourites, but somehow I have managed not to- can anyone please give me the new address? Thanks.

...some of the chapters in the 'Radio Ksan broadcast' extra have audio that drops in and out e.g 'Rainbow Room' press conference- does yours have the same problem, or do I have a faulty copy? BTW, if you're reading this and don't have a copy, do yourself a favour and grab one. This 'Criterion Collection' reissue is just superb!

A disgraceful edit! C'mon, even if Mick and/or made a hash of it there must have been a number of performances of the song that could have been used. Ruins the album, IMHO.

MCDDTLC, do you know of anywhere on the net that this Wembley '73 version of Gimme Shelter can be downloaded? (whole show would be great)

Downloaded 3 tracks from various sources prior to release, listened to it a couple of times on rs.com prior to release, bought it on day of release. Kind of wish I hadn't downloaded/listened to tracks before date of release, diminishes some of the excitement for me. Could'nt resist! Interesting that so many people who downloaded prior to release, went out and bought the CD. Kind of give

Love GHS, hugely underrated, especially "Hide Your Love"- loose, funky, piano-driven, with very tasty licks (presumably MT). C'mon folks, what's this "engine"stuff you're referring to? We're all grown-ups here you know...

Hello there, Out Of My Head! As promised, I am now sitting down to try to explain in easy steps how you go about downloading the 'Columbus' show that Drake has made available. If at any stage I say or ask anything that is blindingly obvious, please forgive me as I don't know how much you know, and more to the point, this probably reflects lack of knowledge on my part!! I shall phra

Out Of My Head, I have been the recipient of much help and kindness on this forum and so I would be pleased to try to explain it to you in 'layman's terms'. Please look for my post on this particular thread later this week (it's Monday as I write, I am not sure on which day I will have the time but I will make a point of posting some help for you this week. Folks, I am very pleased to say that I have finally been successful in converting the FLAC files to WAV files, and burning to disc!! I wanted to say thank you immediately last night upon finally being successful, but I kept getting that 'page cannot be found' stuff, so today I say a big thank you to all of you guys who have been so kind and patient in assisting me to get to grips with t

I really appreciate you guys trying to offer help...unfortunately I really don't understand what you are telling me to do. I think that if anyone here is going to be able to help me, it will be because you (quite correctly) assume no level of knowledge on my part. It needs to be in the simplest possible terms eg. step 1: press this button step 2: press that button etc etc. But I don't e

Ok, I have spent 5 days downloading the Columbus show with this Azureus thing...and now what I thought would be relatively simple (burning to disc) has proved to be beyond me!! The Columbus file downloaded by Azureus is downloaded 100%. Now apparently comes the 'nero plug-in' bit (converting to WMA files for Nero?) I have two Nero plug-in software thingies that I have downloaded as advi

I thought the "Licks" tour was terrific, playing the three different types of venue, and performing a swag of songs never/rarely played live to that point. I think it will go down as one of their best ever tours. Love the Licks DVD boxed set, never get sick of playing it! What did suck was the resultant double CD of the tour, a hastily cobbled together piece of work that did not reflect

I thought I knew my Stones but darned if I know of this track. I am downloading the Columbus show (torturously slowly), so I guess I'll hear it sometime assuming I can get the hang of burning FLAC files to CD!! Can someone 'give me the lowdown' on this number?

Hey 'Out Of My Head', I feel every bit as dumb as you!! This stuff is all so confusing to me...is there someone following this thread who can help us Stones lovers who struggle with all this Azereus/Bittorrent stuff? I downloaded that Azereus thing, as well as the 'FLAC' plug-in... Do you have to be on cable/ADSL (what they call 'Broadband'here in Australia) to do

I know that rollingstones.com has on occasions come in for a bit of criticism on this board at times, but has anybody else on this forum tried to visit the website recently? I have been trying for about three days, but the home page just will not load- I am assuming it is a problem at their end, as I am having no difficulties with any of my other fave websites! Has anybody else had this difficult

I thought Booth's book was EXTREMELY self-indulgent...most of the text was him name-dropping all the famous people he knew, or talking about himself rather than the Stones!! In fact, I will go so far as to say his book pissed me off!!

Def Leppard, Deep Purple, anyone? And for our Aussie forum posters...Jimmy Barnes!! (somebody make him go away!!) BTW, even though The Who are down to two 'originals', I thought their performance at Live 8 was exceptional!

Personally I like Infamy, and I think it's much, much better than This Place Is Empty, which I find to be a fairly tedious, Keef cliche (crooning, Bar-room blues)

I have enjoyed reading the various well-considered critiques of the album on this thread. I am not a musician, just a guy who has been a Stones fan for 25 years or so...so here's my thoughts: Overall a good, well-produced and fresh-sounding album...for me, probably their best since Tatto You (but nowhere near as good as that gem). The songs on ABB didn't get their hooks into me at fi
