Terrible This is going to be very expensive. Will need the Japanese bluray+cd combo. With all the ridiculous European import taxes itll at least become 150 euro. Almost a concert ticket.

There is now available the CD of the concert in april 1969 at the la forum. Previously that had been available in a box called stages. That was available in the early 90s I think the spectacular i dont live today take is the one once included on the 2lp the Jimi Hendrix concerts. That was available in the 80s. Anyway this CD also sports a fantastic version of Spanish castle magic. As well as lon

QuoteEleanor Rigby Is this another "archives" release? Another I won't bother with. For me, archives are concerts > 40 years ago. So many great shows sitting on the shelf. You're missing out dude. Even Bremen is a fun watch on a Sunday afternoon. Sure beats watching the news

Hey CR, you may/may not know the famous pic of Keith posing next to the sign saying Patience Please A Drug Free America Comes First was taken at SeaTac Airport on the 72 tour day after starting the tour up in Vancouver. No, it was taken at Boeing F

QuoteChrisL I saw Bob at the Palladium the last two nights. Wednesday was great, but last night was really amazing. He just sounded fantastic. Plus an added highlight ... I was standing along the back wall with a friend and I spotted a familiar-looking face walking toward me, Jimmy Page. I said, "Enjoy the show, Jimmy." He looked at me and said, "Thank you," and then co

QuoteKRiffhard QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteBig Al Putting the, somewhat, concise Blue & Lonesome to one side, the last few Stones albums were released during the height of the CD-age, whereby, seemingly, every act was hellbent on filling the format to the brim with music. During the 90’s, it was far from uncommon to get albums with running-times of 50+ minutes. Many now, in retrospect, view thi

All the references to Coltrane are surprising. I never heard any Coltrane in eight miles high, but apparently there is. And then later on he refers to McCoy Tyner too.

Quotemk76 Keith mentions it in his book: "”Well, Mick got very big ideas. All lead singers do. It's a known affliction called LVS, lead vocalist syndrome. There had been early symptoms, but it was now rampant. A video display in the stadium in Tempe, Arizona, where the Stones were performing and Hal Ashby was shooting Let's Spend the Night Together announced, "Mick Jagger a

Quotedaniel t I think it is rather the stadium's electronic board and that the Stones had nothing to do with what was displayed on it. Sorry. That's my English. I came up with "flickering banner". "Electronic board" is a much more apt description

Me and my 4 year old are currently watching the hal Ashbury movie. Did anyone ever notice that in the first two songs above the stage there is flickering banner that first says "the rolling stones" and next "Mick Jagger". But the banner doesn't mention any of the other band members. Did that not annoy Keith?

Quoteretired_dog Quotedoitywoik Quoteretired_dog Why would the Stones re-record ABKCO era songs? For the same reasons Taylor Swift redid her albums Fearless and Red. (Yet I don't think it would be a good idea if the Stones really did it.) Please quote correctly. This is not my question, it's from GasLightStreet's confusing reply to my original post - which already gives the

QuoteStoneage Congrats, Matt. I only have one question. It might be a bit impertinent so you don't have to answer it if you don't want to. - Do you make a living out of these Stones related activities or do you have a regular job on the side? Your question is answered by the article. He has a marketing business.
