Thank goodness he has seen the light and decided not to play a Disney pirate character. It would have been a foolish mistake IMO.

I'm attending the Tuesday and Friday night shows at the Pantages Theater. Saw him last year at University Santa Barbara Arena...the sound was pretty bad, but the band rocked like hell. I saw him a couple times a few years ago at the Wiltern Theter in L.A., and it ranks up there with my favorite Stones shows. I saw him for my first time in '78 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditor

As a 13 year old in '76, the first Stones album I ever bought was Made In The Shade, a vinyl record that I still own and cherish, give or take a scratch or two. A fine introduction that was like opening a can of worms. My collection now encompasses nearly every existing recording made by the band.

Definitely a highlight from the Black and Blue period. The goove is wicked and the lead guitar is overwhelmingly intense. The volume has to be very high, and the dance floor should be filled with revelers in order to fully appreciate this gem. It's infectious, and when Mick starts yelping at the end... "To everybody in Jamaica That's working in the sun Your hot, your hot

The Stones hadn't quite lost it yet in the songwriting department yet with this one, but as someone mentioned above it's nothing more than a rehash of the Soul Survivor riff. The beginning of the end I'd say. With that said, I wish they would write something similar to this these days, there hasn't been anything quite like this in over 20 years.

It's an embarrassing song to the Stones legacy. I love the guitars though, and the groove by Charlie and Bill really gets going strong midway. But it's Micks vocals that ruin it for me . They are silly and contrived, wanting to sound like the singer from KC and the Sunshine band.

The album Tejas is a hidden treasure, filled with plenty of great songs such as EL DIABLO. And then FANDANGO...ZZ-Top LIVE in the '70's... their prime best! "Get High, everybody get high!" After Deguello, they turned into an MTV band unfortunately. Though their concerts still rocked, the synthesized drums were pretty bad. Horrible actually. They never quite reco

It is an honest review, and the writer has a right to his opinion, whether we agree with him or not. I happen to agree nearly 99% with everything he says. Sadly, the Stones could care less about putting out anything of quality these days, and because of their lack of concern, the new release is a lousy reflection of the 40 LICKS tour. I happened to have the good fortune of seeing numerous shows

Devo - Satisfaction I saw Devo play this live in 1978, and the visuals of their performanece alone are enough to make this the winner for me. Completey chaotic nerdy little space-men with plastic red hats, and their musical abilities were definitely high-quality and cutting edge . And not to mention the insane fuzzy guitar lead, like a robotic out of control buzz-saw.

You Don't Move Me Though written with Mick in mind, the lyrics are splendid indeed. And the simple accoustic riff, along with the easy groove...this would have been a great Stones song. Keith is the true genius behind the Stones, and his solo material - though not quite up to snuff with the best Stoens material -is a reflection of the mastermind behind the mayhem. Stones lyrics like
