QuoteTopi QuoteHairball This entire mini-tour has been a bit unorthodox with Mick getting sick, Sasha missing a show, not to mention the long 11 day break between Liverpool and Milan, and the long 8 day break between Hyde Park I and II... Well, all their tours have been "mini-tours" since, what, 2012 now? When does a mini-tour become a tour, and is there a maxi-tour? I’d say

Quotekeefriffhards QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax When they started up CYHMK, it sounded great, it focused every set of ears there, and kept em focused. It was really good to hear at the time, It may not repay repeated listening as a recording on a phone in a crosswind in a park, which make it very different from what was recorded in a studio 50 years ago, but WTF. A big hand, please, for the sour neg

QuoteBlueranger QuoteRedhotcarpet QuoteBlueranger QuoteRedhotcarpet Brian. We all know he started the band. He had a vision, he picked the bandmembers, named the group and functioned as a manager in the beginning. Lauhable to pretend Stu started anything. He’s just a strawman for Keith and some of you Keithettes. Read the thread. It’s not that simple. And he didn’t ‘pick’ any members, nor

QuoteDandelionPowderman How has that question anything to do with badmouthing anyone? Exactly. And, as far as I can tell, Dandeee here has never éver been ‘badmouthing’ anything or anybody here. He keeps on telling it straight; and I hope he continues to do so.

In a handwritten letter by Brian Jones to an early fan, dated May 4, 1963, Jones himself says this about it: "The band is really an amalgamation of two bands. The one being an R & B band I formed about a year ago, and the other being a group run by Mick and Keith in S.E. London. I was introduced to Keith and we decided to pool our resources, so with Stu from my band, and Mick from Kei

So, now the dust has settled after HP1, what are us IORRians doing in between both gigs, the upcoming days? Any beers to be shared, any pilgrimages to be undertaken together?

QuoteTopi Yes, don't worry - as I wrote above, they are still rolling out the tickets as we speak and once things are ready, we will be notified by e-mail. At the moment, my BST app acts exactly the same way as yours, when I go to "my tickets" the QR codes pop up, but the "My tickets" page does not show any orders for upcoming events. And at second glance ("My Tickets"), this pops up: ... ...Scanning the QR-code results in nothing.

QuoteTheflyingDutchman That is very personal. The Rolling Stones are a Rock Band to me, with all kind of different influences. But when it comes to the blues: To me it was Mick Taylor. His lines and feeling represent melancholy, making me feel more blue when I'm in that particular mood. No other Rolling Stone triggers that feeling more than Taylor does, again, to me. ,

Quote24FPS It used to be that the Stones would take a blues song and put on their special filter. It would come out sounding just as good as the original, but different. Not quite as ragged, but still retaining the life of the song. Think 'Little Red Rooster'. Uptown, as opposed to country. On Blue and Lonesome they hew closer to the originals, without losing anything. This is under

To me, Blues is a feelin' - a sentiment. And I believe it is for the Stones as well. A feeling that implies truth, danger, sex, sadness, desire, anger, honesty. Grit. Eternity.

QuoteJumpingKentFlash I’m going to this one. However I haven’t been out travelling for years. I bought this package deal with bus ride from Denmark and back. Ticket included. So Friday evening before the Monday show the bus starts. We arrive in Belgium Saturday morning or early at noon. Probably the hotel is in Genk. My question is: How much money for food and the like would I realistically spend

Quotesteadyrollinman Quoteribbelchips I actually enjoyed it back in the days. Especially the scene where Mick tries to convince a Brazilian storekeeper that he is the famous Mick Jagger. Of course it's not a hollywood production, but for a promotional video, it's pretty enjoyable! This one? Who the f**k is Mickey Jaggero?!? I'm familar with this scene (as are so many,

Quotegotdablouse "100 Club" ? shhhhht... don't jinx it! But, actually: without even considering the possibilities, my money would be on a last-minute 'hush-hush' club show in town, between both Hyde Parks. June 29 or 30... Made the necessary travel & lodging arrangements accordingly. True; calendarwise RAH is out of the question between both London gigs

So - untill now, the general perception/ assumption was that Lucky Dips 2022 will go on sale simultanously with the 'general sale', as from tomorrow (Friday). Do we have extra 'intel' to confirm that, by now (c.q. hours away)? I remember (vaguely) that, on previous tours, the Stones' website sended out a link, shortly before the LD were on sale...
