Yes, the Knebworth version of Wild Horses was done in A - for the only time as far as I know.

Get an audio recording of this show - it sounds much better than it looks.

It was a minor UK hit in the 1980s by a band whose name I forget. The singer, I think, is now Nick Dagger of the Counterfeit Stones

Gunnar, check out SMU from Buenos Aires '95 - a very nice 'seee-yee-hi-yay-heen' on that one.

BTW, I meant second row in front of the main stage.

I was on the second row and the sound for the B-stage section was fantastic - except for Ronnie, whose guitar could be heard but sounded as if his amp was inside some distant biscuit tin. Strangely enough, Keith (or Blondie?) could be heard loud and clear from where I was standing (on my chair, needless to say).

I was also at Glasgow, which was fantastic. I can recall seeing Keith take off his guitar right towards the end of the song - maybe 15-20 seconds before the end. The guitar sounds were all over the place throughout - sometimes great, sometimes shite. On the broadcast you can indeed hear Keith's riff right until the end of the song. Listening back, the SMU riff is played very consistently thr

Orbit, if you recorded the show from a digital source rather than anlog FM, would you be kind enough to burn me a copy (I'll send you B&P) or do a trade? Please e-mail me if you're up for it.

I like Atlantic Crossing & A Night On the Town; Footloose is o.k. but I'm not crazy about most of the stuff after that. However, Spanner In the Works, from 1994 is also really good, despite the Trevor Horn production. Lady Luck is IMO in the great Rod singles tradition; I also like the way he lifts the Hot Legs riff & dumps it into his arrangement of Sam Cooke's Soothe Me. Well

I like this DVD, but it's a shame the music recording runs too fast

Heart For Stones: what a small world - I'll be next to you in BL A4, row 2, seat 10! Isn't that Chuck's side?

SJS 12, do you reckon the awful tinniness (extremely trebly with little audible bottom end) was related to the echo problems?

Great show but horrible sound from where we were standing. My brother & I were in D4, close to the b-stage & the sound was a blurred, tinny, echoey mush throughout. Hopefully it will be better on Tuesday.

In 2003 they stayed at the Balmoral in Edinburgh. My brother used to do massage their & met Keith on his way out to the gig in Glasgow.

You may want to try the Premier Travel In in Hammersmith (0870 8506310), this is two minutes walk from Ravenscourt Park tube station, which is a 15-minute ride to Richmond, where there should be buses going to the show in Twickenham (as per 2003). My dad stayed there recently & it's very clean, about £75 per night.

The Jointrip 2-DVD set seems to be the best version available, containing about 11 songs from the show, I think. The picture footage is very good. The sound is clear but in mono, with Keith's guitar very quiet. There are cuts between all the songs. It's still a gem, though.

I'm thinking of going to watch the Killer this weekend, but I'm aware that he's getting on a bit & may not be as energetic as when I saw him in the early '90s. Has anyone been to one of his recent gigs? Can he still cut it? long does he play for? Any reports or comments would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi, I'd like to sell this single ticket for £163.00, which is what I paid (£90 + £13 Seetickets booking fee) + p&p. It's in the central back block on the pitch, Keith's side. Please get in touch if you're interested. Thanks.

Little Baby is Howlin' Wolf's version of My Babe. The Stones' rendition on Stripped is pretty faithful to Wolf's arrangement, which is also well worth checking out, coz it's a killer.

From memory, I'm pretty sure there's been an AC30 among the amp setup ever since the Voodoo Lounge tour - not sure who's it is. Perhaps ists used for MR - that's just my guess based on the sound of the AC30 I used to have.
