Heard this studio version of this song today for the first time in nearly 2 years. Blew me away like it did the first time I heard it on the radio a few years ago! Great song the entire band really is pushing on it.

Mick Jagger sounds like Bob Dylan when he comes in on the song lol, fantastic! I've never understood the hype with Brian's slide playing (except for No Expectations and I Wanna Be Your Man). His playing is whatever here. Not great but not terrible. Keith's gnarly and dirty licks in this are pretty good as well.

If I recall correctly, Led Zeppelin actually showed some hate towards The Rolling Stones back in 1972. Zep said that The Stones were awful live and all they had was a bad horn section. It was described in the book "Hammer Of The Gods"

I hear 2. Keith sounds like he's in standard and Ron sounds like he's in open g. Keith is playing the main riff and Ron is playing slide and doing some additional strumming. Ron also plays pedal steel in the song. If you listen to the stereo channeling you'll hear that it really is only 2 guitars that are weaving in and out of each other perfectly.

There's a lot of good soundboard recordings so I'd recommend those first. A good one would be "Handsome Girls" from the Swinging Pig label. It's a great compilation of various soundboard recordings from that tour.

Thank you for your work. Sounds good and the band was sounding pretty good that night. For their first gig since '73 and the first gig with Ronnie they were able to sound pretty tight with minimal mess ups.

I really don't like Micks vocals in this song. It's the only thing that holds it back for me. His voice sounds so off and lacks the classic Jagger edge that it really should have imo.

Quotelenchik The circulating version of Milan film is heavily chopped. I could restore back 40 seconds of Roll Over Beethoven and sync to audio, but then gave up. Honestly i'm not surprised nor do I blame you for that because it is indeed heavily chopped. I thought maybe there was another version that wasn't so chopped but I guess i'm wrong. Such a shame too.
