They will just extend this tour as long as they can. So yes, it's their final tour.

Not sure if you can get Keith's sound (if you can at all with any amp), but the Pignose is a great little practise amp. See

Now we know the real reason for the short setlist: "wrote up a fairly standard set list with one less song...knowing that it wouldn't hurt to make it just a little shorter so we could deal with our late flight out"

Play with someone you can get along with musically (and personally). If you dig each other, you'll learn how to play together, which is most important. Don't look too hard for either options, you may be looking forever and be very disappointed in the end.

What I mean by 'got stuck' is that he didn't evolve musically, he played the blues, and that's it. There's nothing wrong with that, he was very good at it. And although maybe improvisational, he always played around the same kind of licks - at least in my ears.

To me, SRV got stuck in perfecting his way to sound very similar to Jimi playing the blues. And he did a pretty good job doing so. Jimi on the other hand kept evolving and searching for new musical pathways. He actually had plans of recording with jazz musician Gil Evans, but died a few days before they would start.
