it is what it is and the answer lies in the eyes/ears of the beholder. for many, this will be there only chance to see the Stones. So, I imagine for them, the answer is a resounding "no" for others who have been around since the Jones era, this is probably a bit of a let-down. for me, I feel the Stones have always done as they pleased....so Eff-it. Rock on. Roll till the whe

Quoteterraplane Quotestickyfingers101 It's not a fair comparison. Australia is not the US. We have more than 10x as many people, for one and the US has 1/3 of Australia's entire population packed into NYC alone - around 25-30 square miles, I think.... Politically, I think Australia has 6 states...we have 50. and, in the end, IMO the US is (arguably) the Hub of the World

Quotetreaclefingers Quotebleedingman Australia has had a total of 978 reported deaths since January 2020. Is that a lot? Is it worth shutting everyone down and forbidding them to even speak to one another? This link has a chart showing the age breakdown of those deaths. You don't get the point at all, which is remarkable. The reason they only have that many (which is too ma

I agree w/ basically everything on here, except for Fleetwood Mac, but that's just me.... I'd add, anything by: The Staple Singers John Primer Blind Willie McTell Joe Louis Walker Magic Slim & the Teardrops Keb Mo ....and whatever Rockman says. If I ever got in his Music Room, I'd probably never leave. and I agree 100% w/ Runaway...listen on vinyl whenever you

I liked "Sympathy"....cool opening-groove to get everybody into it...."ooh, ooh!" then the blast of Keef's guitar...Pleased to Meet YOU!! SFM is a face-punch....which is also great. but, I feel the "cool groove" works better at their age....and mine. Haha!

I have no problem w/ all these acts cancelling. Each should do as they see fit. However, it must be pointed out that probably 95% of "musicians" do not (financially) have the luxury of cancelling. Regardless, Screechin' Neil has some good tunes. Garth is OK, but not for me.

You may choose not to go to a restaurant with a vax only policy, but you are in the minority. As you said, the market will decide and the restaurants imposing that will get complaints from anti vaxxers but will get more vaccinated customers. Those vaccinated will also be more appreciative for the policy and will spend more in my opinion. Those complaining about masks and vaccines aren't g

Quoteroller99 QuoteMKjan Quotebv The Rolling Stones were a band of six - 6 - members including Ian Stewart. With Brian Jones out in 1969 they were down to four out of six. Then Bill left 1993, so then they are technically just 50% of the original lineup. They are not getting any younger year by year. Postponing another year would probably mean the shows in USA this year would have been lost.

I'd bet the Stones and other Famous People could get a lot of people to get the Vax if they offered "Free Tickets" or some other incentives of that nature.... I have a suspicion that a LOT of people are more likely to be persuaded by "Free Stones Tickets" than ________ (insert politician and/or gov't-bureaucracy here).... ....or a gnarly free burger at F'n

Quotedaspyknows Quotetriceratops All Stones concerts are in outdoor stadiums. It is much more difficult to catch Covd19 outdoors (obviously) Buy a personal battery operated fan. Buy a few of them. Options-- wear a plastic face shield and mask. My local Dollar Tree store has these face shields at $1 each. Also if you do "catch" Covid at a Stones concert it should be more mild becaus

Quoteskytrench Envy, no, just calling out Branson's foolish obsession. It was good you brought this up, so we could discuss this here. There really is no reason for him to go to space and waste all those resources, it's disrespectful. I'm pretty sure Bob would agree! Bob Marley already agreed. the song is called "So Much Trouble"....the lyrics are quite clear.

I wonder if Clapton had something to say about the players who missed the PKs? yikes. that being said, the dude who did that stupid tippy-toe dance move before his kick was the worst....just kick the ball, dude. and the coach is a dumbski for putting those three in the game just to kick the PKs...they were all clearly ice-cold, IMO. oh well...Italy played better in the 2nd half

Quotedaspyknows QuoteAdams In the autumn we might expect covid surges not touring. I don't think it is somebody's business if they get vaccinated or not. If people don't get vaccinated they help the virus to mutate, they help the virus to spread, they also block hospitals from normal operations. Someone who thinks otherwise is rather shortsighted to put it mildly. Stated
