That is true. The first 3 albums have 12-string acoustic guitars on them. It doesn't come till Out of Our Heads that there is the use of 6-string guitars.

Also in bill wyman's book they show a picture of the recording of little red rooster and Keith is using a 6-string framus acoustic and Brian is using a fender telecaster. In the 1966 is the earliest he used one on a sporadic period. They were used on some of the recordings during 1966-1968 even though gibson was used the most. He didn't really rely on fenders until 1972.
