Mick Hucknall isn't much of a rock singer. He is more R&B.

I highly doubt this case because the guitar sounds way too much like a 12-string. Indeed, perhaps it's not from when they were actually recording LRR just the same session durin

That is true. The first 3 albums have 12-string acoustic guitars on them. It doesn't come till Out of Our Heads that there is the use of 6-string guitars.

Most acoustic versions of not fade away I know of were tv appearances and a lot of the times it was lipsyncing. Also in bill wyman's book they show a picture of the recording of little red rooster and Keith is using a 6-string framus acoustic and Brian is using a fender telecaster. I highly doubt this case because the guitar sounds way too much like a 12-string.

I am wondering what type of electric 12 string Keith used.

I hope there is another jam session where Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page could do and Robert Plant and Rod Stewart and various others participate in it.

I like this performance the best out of the many performances that have been done recently where he is wearing the headset microphone.

In the 1966 is the earliest he used one on a sporadic period. They were used on some of the recordings during 1966-1968 even though gibson was used the most. He didn't really rely on fenders until 1972.

Possibly. But in early shows they are still in the stages of what guitar should be on what song.

There was no touring in 1974. I wouldn't be surprised if Keith's gibson sg was used in the recording of It's Only Rock and Roll and Black and Blue.

I always wondered if Keith used this guitar on the 1970 and 1971 shows or decided to use the gibson les paul standard with the white pickguard that is on the get yer Ya yas out cover.

Only the covers can be used. You hear Not fade away and some of the blues tracks in the film.

This was only done on television in england. Keith had a couple of les paul customs during this period.

QuoteDGA35 Ace Frehley plays it at his shows, usually toward the end/encore. He played this both solo and in Kiss and when played in Kiss he used to play a solo where his guitar smoked and flew.

Yeah! Keith pretty much only used 12-strings sporadically after 1964.The only acoustic I hear is 6-string.

The Jimi Hendrix footage is missing and that is all over youtube. There was an alternative version with both acoustic songs and Midnight Rambler (Keith lighting a joint or rolling a joint during the performance).
