QuoteLeonidP QuoteTurner68 bob dylan's version of "Like a rolling stone" is the best version there is - that's my vote. the stones' version doesn't hold a candle to it. true, not even close. I still think that Dylan's version is better. What I meant was that Stones' version on Stripped was surprisingly good.

It's hard to say that the Stones' version of Like A Rolling Stone is better than Dylan's, but I really really like the version of the song on Stripped.

I've always thought that the Stones lay down much work on the order of the tracks on their records. Maybe they failed with ABB in that way...

Was there a deal between the band and the festival organiser that BBC was only aloud to broadcast one hour of the show?

I have never seen that video of Can't You Hear Me Knocking from Glastonbury. I have seen the videos of TD, SMU, JJF, IORR, Satisfaction, BS, GS, YCAGWYW, 2000 Light Years and Miss You. Are there any other "official" videos from the Glastonbury gig? Honky Tonk Women or Wild Horses for example?

Ronnie's sobriety has taken the Stones to a completely new level in my opinion. He has played better than ever during the 50 and Counting/14 On Fire/Zip Code Tour..

QuoteJohn1982 I think that will announce this tour in early December latest. This way they can use the christmas time to increase ticket sales. As people in South America generally don't have as much money to spend as in North America or Europe, it would be a good move. But maybe I am wrong, because I don't have a clue how fast the tickets sold on last tours in South America. But I'

Quote1969Fan I read Eric Clapton wanted the job after Mick Taylor left, but that his ego prevented him from letting it be known. Eric Clapton and Keith Richards. I wonder where that would have gone? Interesting! Where did you read that?

Why does everyone hate so much on Streets Of Love? I think it's a fantastic song and they have done great versions of it live, in Rome for example.

They did a fantastic version of UMT during the Bigger Bang tour at Zilker Park Austin, TX. But as far as I know the band don't want to play it live because of the song's direct/ or indirect message about oppression of women.

Quotewith sssoul Thanks very much for tracking down the photographer! It's not always easy to do that, I know. But when we like someone's work enough to save and/or re-post it, I always feel we should credit them. It means a lot. Thanks Anytime!

After some research I have found the photographer of the two pictures I posted. His name is Ian Gavan and works for Getty Images. There is a link to his website below. On Getty Images' website there is a whole bunch of fantastic Stones pictures from the 2000+ era, especially from Zip Code Tour and from 14 On Fire Tour. I am sure you will find what you need both of Mick with a Telecaster and

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quoteohotos QuoteTestify Rolling Stones HeartBreaker Heartbreaker is one of my favourite songs and I would have loved to hear it live one day. I just watched the video and must say I didn't love it. Didn't like Ronnie's intro and hated the way Mick is singing it. The whole thing sounds like a bad cover version. Sorry for the negativity. Still looking forwar

Stockholm.. Even though the setlist was rather predictable, just watch JJ Flash and Midnight Rambler on YouTube from that concert and you will understand what I mean. Without hesitation the best version of MR during the tour. I agree that Dusseldorf was a fantastic show aswell.

Does the web voting close when the band enters the stage or just when the song before the request song is finished? Because All Down The Line was played as the 3rd song in Pittsburgh and it was one of the songs we could pick in the voting. It is clear that the voting is rigged, when would Mick have the time to decide if All Down The Line will be played as the 3rd song or as the request song?
