UrbanSteel, Thanks for all your great uploads. However, on DVD 2 of this show, DVD 2 VTS_01_1.VOB should be .99 GB but only is 25.2 MB. It's missing most of the file. Can you please re-upload this file? Thanks.

I'm trying to download 1999 DVD 2 VTS_01_1.VOB and the size of the file is only 25.2 MB. It only contains the beginning of "Out Of Control". Can this be re-uploaded? Thanks.

4 Reels is a good version but the songs need speed correction as they run 1/2 step fast. Jointrip has the correct sound but video is not as sharp as 4 Reels.

I just learned the slide parts (George Harrison and Pete Ham) for "Day After Day". The slide is played in standard tuning.

ChrisM, Yes, the interview that I mentioned is in the February 1980 Guitar Player with Tedesco on the cover. If memory serves me, I think Taylor says that he used a Gibson 335 on the "Dead Flowers" solo.

In Guitar Player in 1980, Taylor says he played the studio solo on "Dead Flowers". The phrasing indicates it is Taylor. He certainly more freely and fluidly improvised the live solos of this song, but I'm inclined to believe it is Taylor playing this solo in the studio.

aprilfool - Thanks for the info on the location of the first interview. I believe the leopard shirt interview is also on the road in 1982. The "Let It Bleed" documentary is very good.

Jagger/Richards' songwriting has always been underrated. While not on the level of The Fabs, they certainly have a vast oeuvre of pop/rock classics.

Carl's story is completely credible. I met Keith in NYC in 1992 and he was very nice. Most of The Stones are pretty accessible individually, especially if they are doing a solo club gig.

Mathijs, Are the files broken when you extract them? I have been using 7 Zip to extract the files and it works fine. You must have all 8 parts downloaded before you extract, otherwise you will get an error. To burn, I've been using Nero with no problems on these DVDs. Hope this helps.

Lars, I know the Keith solo and verse riffs for SFTD from Ya Ya's and I believe he plays it in standard tuning on the 1969 tour.
