I saw Petty at the Vic Theatre in Chicago about 10 years ago. There were no hard tickets, my name was on a list and they let me in the door. No way to scalp that. Don't understand why he isn't doing something similar at these smaller venue shows this time around.

for Chicago 2, we strolled up to $85 will call at 8:15pm, nobody in line. we showed our ID, they said "please stand over there" a woman with AEG comes up and puts wristbands on us and gives us pit tickets. we were not given free programs or anything like that. we entered the pit about 10 min before they went on and no problem moving around, it wasn't too crowded.

I bought $85s for all three Chicago shows. 1: Got 300 level, went to the box office, complained, got upgraded to Section 105, lower level, awesome seats, solid show. 2: Got GA pit, absolutely awesome, best show i've seen since Licks. CYHMK was insane! 3: Got 300 level, went inside, waited until the video started, used Section 105 tickets from show 1 to get into Section 105 again.

Last night was my 15th show since I started going as a teenager in '99. Getting in the pit for $85 and seeing this performance of CYHMK with Mick Taylor is the true highlight of all the shows i've seen. I couldn't actually believe what was unfolding before my eyes.
