THere is quite a lot to do other than shopping. The Gold Souk and other markets are interesting. Take a ride out into the desert, do some sand surfing, ride a camel, or have dinner under the stars. If you have time, spend the night in a tent out in the desert...absolutely amazing to lay under the stars in the middle of nowhere. There is also plenty of water activities to take part in. The UAE isn't that all bad. I work there at times and it's far more liberal than most suggest. True, no drinking in public or PDA, etc but it is not a bad place to spend a few days especially to see the STONES! Dress code at the venue? Not much different than what you'd see in Munich or New York...but for you ladies....be sure to wear slacks when out and about especially in shoppin
