Lou Reed must have pissed himself laughing when people started to take that review seriously!

Quoteduke richardson not a team player. like Clapton.. great musician but not a team player like Ronnie. You Sir are so right...... When I listen to Brussels affair I'm thinking..... "That Mick Taylor sounds amazing, but he sure isn't a team player! When I listen to Still life I'm thinking....... "Ronnie Wood sounds shit, but he sure does take one for the team."

Quotedcba He takes himself rather seriously, doesn't he? I saved Mayall...... I (with Wyman and Watts) contributed to the skeletons of songs brought by Jagger & Richards... etc etc... Methinks part of the reason he joined the Stones was he thought he could easily take the leadership of the band as MT thought (rightly so?) that he was by far the most skilled musician in the band.

Quotesodapop QuoteDandelionPowderman By that logic none of the musicians in the Stones are more than tolerable... It never ceases to amaze me that there are Stones fans who don't get that it is the band and its chemistry that make them good. Who had major success as a solo artist outside the Stones again? None, but lots of fans find Ronnie's albums best. RIght....forgot.....the

Quotewhitem8 Well possibly unfulfilled for you, but for many of their fans, they were fantastic. In fact their last three albums were mesmerizing rock n' roll. Great stuff. And they refused to keep making their first two albums over and over, which would have been easy and they turned away from the massive stadium popularity and charted their own path. Good on em! I am a fan! Must of seen

The Black Crowes were a good rock n roll band. However, their first three albums suggested the possibility that they may go on to be something more than just good. They had promise, promise that was ultimately unfulfilled!

Anyone who even tries to buy a ticket through Seatwave, Viagogo, Stubhub is just asking to be ripped off. They have never, and will never get a penny off of me. A fool is easily parted with his money, and there are plenty of mugs out there that keep these rats in business. The secondary market is of course controlled by the likes of Ticketmaster. I love it when they announce that a gig has sol

Quotebuffalo7478As for Joanna Newsome, I much prefer the Welsh band names after her: Joanna Gruesome. Yeah, I could never understand what all those music journalists saw in her.

As much as I love Keith, he does seem to have a severe chip on his shoulder with regards to Jagger. I don't recall Mick ever saying anything nasty about Keith. Richards on the other hand can't seem to stop himself. Who knows why? Jealousy maybe? Mick is the driving force of the band. The boss so to speak! Maybe Keith resents this, or maybe he's just pissed off with all the embarass

Sad news..... I used to spend a bit of time in "The 12 bar." It is a very small basement, with a tiny stage, a bit of a dump, but a good one. I was at the Joanna Newsom gig that the guy talks about in his story... There is so much building in London at the moment, and a lot of these places are just going to get swallowed up.

Is there anything more sad than some old goat trying to get hip with a bunch of kids? This was a new low for The Stones, no doubt about it! Timberlake, Stefani, Gaga, Swift and now "One direction!" Tragic....... However, this does mean that my dream of seeing Justin Beiber on stage with The Stones is that much closer, and when the inevitable does happen, the same posters on IORR

Quotetreaclefingers Quotedrewmaster Quoteswiss It is interesting, tho, that the misogynistic songs seem to always have been Mick rather than Keith. Tho' maybe someone can find an exception. - swiss All About You doesn't exactly paint a flattering portrait of the fairer sex. But then again, Keith is basically singing about one girl. Drew I thought he was singing about Mick o

Just as it looked as if Phillip Hughes might get into the Aussie test side, this happens. So very tragic. I feel so sorry for his friends and family, and also for all the players who took part in that match, especially the bowler Sean Abbott. RIP

Never considered myself a big fan of the 75 version of The Stones! I've just watched the DVD all the way through. The band are a shambolic, decadent, over the top, sludgy drug fueled mess. I @#$%& loved it...... Didn't play it safe in them days did they! Anyways, you must excuse me, I'm going to watch it through again. I might even get up and have a little boogie.

QuoteThe Stones I saw the Primal Scream open for the Rolling Stones at Twickenham in 2003 and I thought they were pretty good. Although, the real gem of that evening was Salt of the Earth. It was a great gig that one.... Primal Scream, Angus & Malcolm and then Salt of the Earth. One of the best stadium gigs I ever went too. RIP Robert....

Best gig I have ever attended! The Stones were truly great that night, but it was more than that. It was one of those rare shows where there is something special in the air. Everything came together perfectly! The Band, The audience, The Venue.... Everything! I have only listened to bits and pieces of the soundboard, and kind of want it to stay that way.

QuoteMathijs Sure the classic 70's albums are great, but they are very classic American 1970's rock, and quite outdated in my opinion. Mathijs Nah, Rocks is one of those timeless records!
