I've seen him many times, most recently at the beginning of this month. Always amazing! We got a special treat here. Mark Lanegan opened & joined Nick for a duet on "Weeping Song". Stunning.

Quoteab Not a fan, but I remember around 1982 when Cream magazine use to run photos with gag cutlines (i.e., captions) beneath them. So they run a photo of Andy Gibb and his then lady love, Victoria Principal, in a paparazzi shot coming out of a restaurant with the cutline "You'd look smug too if you just ate what Andy did!" I remember those photos in Creem. My fave was a face sh

QuoteDGA35 Read online that Marshawn Lynch is planning to hold out and not show up for training camp? Buddy in my office with season tickets is looking forward to the new season, driving down from BC for the games. Several Seahawks were in Vancouver recently doing some promotional appearances. I'm ever optimistic my Bears will do something this year. Still have faith in coach Trestman, w

With training camps starting this week, I figured this was as good a time as any to get a a thread started for the season. I had a lot of fun with all of my friends on this site last year for the whole season. I even include the 49er fans in that group, haha! It's all in good fun. That being said, this year should be glorious with my beloved Seahawks attempting to repeat as champions. It wil

I got to go to an after show meet & greet with Keith on the 2nd Winos tour. Met Bobby Keys first & chatted for awhile. He wasn't happy about the lack of liquid refreshment at the function & proceeded to tell us about the portable bar he was travelling with. He was very funny & personable. Then came the big moment. I got introduced to Keith & he was really nice to me. I wa

I was at that show too. The blizzard...haha. It was a long drive back to Seattle the next day. It was a makeup date. Originally, Van Morrison was supposed to open.

Courtney Barnett. Just discovered her. Took a chance & downloaded her set @ Glastonbury. Liked it so much, went out & bought a cd of her 2 EPs. More great music from Australia. This lady is one to watch, IMO.

Saw them when "She Sells Sanctuary" was out. The singer was goose stepping around the stage in pseudo nazi gear & really didn't sound too good. Didn't enjoy. They were a little better when they opened for Metallica on the "Justice" tour but apart from a few songs not a big favorite. To each his (or her) own.

Quotecrawdaddy I know the feeling. Whenever I see a list of torrents, that I haven't got a clue what you do with them to make a cd or dvd, I break into a cold sweat. old school!

Very sad. I saw the original lineup in a very small room when I was in high school. It was in the basement of a swanky restaurant in Seattle. I want to say Road to Ruin tour but I could be off on that. Still one of the loudest shows I ever saw. Table settings were bouncing in the restaurant upstairs. RIP

QuoteDGA35 I was at the BC Place show, too! The roof didn't collapse the next day, it happened a couple months later, due to heavy wind, not snow. I actually didn't think it was that great of a show, I still like the second night in 89 at BC Place better. I do remember that in the encore of YCAGWYW, Mick was singing the words really fast, faster than the music, which I thought was

Quotekishorcsog Anyway, it reminded me when I saw Deep Purple in 2007 after seeing the Stones a few times and I said never again would I see Deep Purple, it was depressing. And I do like classic rock. I will see Neil Young with Crazy Horse in July, I hope they will have the intensity the Stones have. I did catch 2 Stones concert this tour - Pinkpop and Vienna - and they were absolutely amazing,

QuoteRokyfan QuoteDeltics Quotebye bye johnny It's the UK emergency number, like 911. What he said. ) Really. People continue with these wacky posts even after someone gives the answer in the third post. It's the same as calling 911 in the US, where Keith lived (England). It's what keith said when the song came out. That wasn't a guess, it was the correct answer.

While I imagine you were disappointed that it was not a replica of the reckless Cream I loved it's economy and huge song selection. Bruce and Eric sang great and there were many magic jamming moments. I didn
