Quoteslewan QuoteStonesfan2146 Well they opened with Not Fade Away on a full tour. All down the line doesn't seem completely impossible But unlikely that's true right, and it didn't work – at least not for the masses… What planet are you on? The flat one? It absolutely worked for "the masses". It opened EVERY show.

Oh wow. Damn. That's really sad. There are big lights and small lights in the world - and the small lights do a lot more than the big lights. Ugh.

I've had time away from HD - and anything else. Sold my house (home) of the last 10 years and, in the duration of being homeless for 11 days, I ordered, for reasons I have yet to figure out, HONK (2 cd) and TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE. After getting in to the "new" house and getting a few things in order, started listening to them (as well as Dr Dre's THE CHRONIC and NWA - s

Been working on a playlist of Stones songs with phase (phaser). Criss Cross Coming Down Again Through The Lonely Nights Fingerprint File Some Girls Beast Of Burden Shattered I Think I'm Going Mad Infamy Whole Wide World That seems a bit off with such a huge gap in time but it's all I could come up with.

They sound good. I know they're a bit younger than The Cult but, the loss of various original and excellent additional band members aside, the essence of is still going. That's a detail of context that has been whined about as well as admired: The Black Crowes are Chris and Rich Robinson, just as The Cult are Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy. If I was as much as a crank as some people

Quotetreaclefingers Quoteschwonek Quotempj200 Not amps or guitars yet, but all down the line. Time for a new opener. Have they ever opened with All Down The Line? I think with the excitement, starting with Angry would blow the roof off, and that would definitely be a new opener. Then give us 3 or 4 more HD tracks from this group...Get Close, WWW, BMHO, Depending On You, Mess It Up, SSoH.

QuoteIdorh My wife passed away last Sunday after a 9-hour surgery due to constricted blood vessels. I don't want anyone around me right now, and I am intensely enjoying the album Hackney Diamonds. The album exudes emotion and energy. It soothes my grief. Holy crap. Ugh. I hope, at some point, you can focus on all the good things and not the end. I have lived those words and it tu

Quoterocker1 Thanks for sharing this. The shortened Beast of Burden edit is an abomination. However, one edit that actually enhances a song is the edit on live version (from Detroit ‘78) of When the Whip Comes Down on Sucking in the Seventies. It just slices an unfocused part towards the end, if you compare it to the original from Detroit. I’ve always loved that track on SITS. I like the ra

QuoteDoxa QuoteStoneage The main thing is that they have finally released a new album. That's good enough. Ranking it I would compare it to albums in their latter day production. In line with that. Still, it's a good thing that they got this one together. The Rolling Stones' core production ended with TY. But that is another story. Indeed it is another story and one that ended

I never got HONK. Should I? I have (the original) JUMP BACK. Why bother? I'm a sucker for hits comps but I avoided THE SIMIAN DISASTER in 2012. I will never be able to allow myself to get that comp. Horrible name, horrible cover and 1971- songs that are mostly on JUMP BACK.

QuoteDoxaHad we not being familiar with the original out-takes, it could have been probably easier to appreciate the results. You know, listening the tunes as they are, not comparing them to anything. It was easier to like, say, "Plundered My Soul" or "Scarlet", since there was nothing to compare there. The knowledge causes pain sometimes... Possibly expressed by what yo

QuoteRocky Dijon QuoteGasLightStreet And the Tell The Truth song got left off. "Tell the Truth" is an early version of "Mess It Up" and yes, it sounds like they really, really, really, really, really, really lost something. Incidentally Don Was brought in Andy Watt to work on that song with Mick a few years before Macca's dinner with Ronnie. Don't forget "

Swift’s behind-the-scenes moves became front-page news when Big Machine sold to private-equity group Ithaca Holdings, an entity owned by powerhouse music manager Scooter Braun. He then sold her masters to another company, Shamrock Holdings, for a reported $300 million in 2019. On a business level, Braun’s move was smart: Swift’s master recordings reap profits whenever the songs are streamed or bo

The motivation for Taylor's endeavor to rework her previous albums stems from 2019 when entertainment tycoon Scooter Braun acquired the rights to her earlier music pieces. This development was particularly distressing for Swift, who publicly voiced her concerns, describing it as her "worst-case scenario". To add to her dismay, these master recordings were later sold to an investmen

Saw the Stones merch for 2019's NO FILTER tour in New Orleans - garbage. Aside from whatever kind of t-shirt they're printed on, they were all ugly. I get, as a fan, wanting to have something, but I saw them in 1989 and bought a shirt. I get one wanting a memento of one's experience but is a Stones shirt from a tour without a new album really worth buying? The last t

Quotestonesurvive ...............Wow!............Is it true the opening bands have to "pay to play"? That's scary, but Mick is all business. Doubt that's the case with established bands. Zac Brown opened in Georgia in 2021, and they were incredible!!!........ How did you arrive at that questioning?

It's The Stones in 2023, not '78. In the same way it was the Stones in '71, not '63. It's amazing how they have evolved. The evolution may not be what you/we wa

Quotetreaclefingers Quoterbk Of course ABKCO could remix their Stones catalog, but why? Would they make it sound better - or merely different? I'm not sure I even agree that it could be remixed. It seems to me that remixing entails some level of creative changing the sound of the recordings. In that case I would argue that this may not be available to ABKCO. They own the existing record

Quote1963luca0 If I remember well, I’ve read somewhere that KR wants ‘integrity’ In other words, ABKCO can add something on a separated record (as per BB 50th anniversary, GYYYO 40th anniversary)but it’s not allowed to modify the original release and I believe this applies to the original mix, too. Terry Landi used the earliest masters available, but did not remix them. Still, I’d love to have
