QuoteNaturalust I think this thread is being hijacked by pro-Superheavy employees. Every time a comment that doesn't like it comes on, it gets bracketed by huge press release crap. whaty a drag. peace. Yep, it couldn't possibly be that a lot of people disagree with you and are actually enjoying this music. You can hardly be surprised that the SuperHeavy thread, about the band SuperHea

Quotenocomment Quoteproudmary I was sat with her for three weeks, and she sings everything. She will sing the whole time, even when we weren't playing, she'd sing, trying to make up things ' melody lines and stuff,' he explained. I tried not to be annoyed. When she sang, 'I want to go to the bathroom', I said, 'Joss, give it a break, dear!'' yea

QuoteGazza that Guardian review is quite funny - Worse, on Energy, you're struck by the sound of Mick Jagger rapping, a sound you fear will haunt you to the grave - It was a funny review but is it worrying that I find that one of the more enjoyable songs on the album...?

Quotepgarof Just listened to the interview and everyone was very careful not to mension The Rolling Stones although he did talk about dubbing exile and some girls. Interessting interview. It is really good that he is involved with a new project. I don't think that they were particularly careful to "avoid" talking about the Stones. SuperHeavy is coming out next week so it's h

Quotejpasc95 QuoteCrazyDadda Last night I went to a bar that I go to often to watch the NFL Kickoff. During the pregame Maroon 5 played their song "Moves Like Jagger." A girl that I knew only from the bar, as she goes their often to, was standing next to me and singing along to the song. I said are you a big Maroon 5 fan, and she said yes, and she said she loved their new song. I said d

Thanks ProudMary. I'm really looking forward to this album now. The review talks about Stewart's guitar but I wonder if one of the guitar lines is played by Mick.

It could be argued that Mick still serves a purpose for Jerry Hall. After all, if she didn't talk about him in interviews such as these, would anyone even are to read it?

Quoteuhbuhgullayew Bring back Bruce Arena! At least he could beat Mexico (in the World Cup no less)....something that Klinsmann has failed to do. Yep, sack Jurgen after two games!

Quoteuhbuhgullayew QuoteRolling Hansie Quoteuhbuhgullayewmore was expected! Really ? From me, yeah. Do you follow football or is this just a national pride thing? Mexico are the better side in terms of players anyhow. A win for them is to be expected. Plus, Jurgen has only had two games so he hasn't exactly had time to get the squad to play in his style etc. Draw is a good result agai

Quoteuhbuhgullayew Quoteleteyer Quoteuhbuhgullayew OOPS - Now 0-2 Rodney Wallace scored to lead Costa Rica to a 1-0 win over the United States on Friday night, giving Jurgen Klinsmann a loss in his second match as U.S. coach. How can he be 0-2 if the USA and Mexico tied the other day? Draws are weak. Someone needs to win and the US hasn't won yet under him, thus 0-2. A draw agains

I was already looking forward to this album. Now I can hardly wait. It's good to hear Mick doing something fresh with different artists, maybe to inspire him a little. Some of these songs sound like they could be pop hits as well, e.g Beautiful People. Unlikely that they will make a big splash but it shows that this is maybe more commercially accessable than people previously thought.

Quotedandelion1967 I play classical music, and music reading is important when the music you want to play is written, but if you are in rock and roll, blues, reading music will be useful but not the most important thing, I'm the same with you in that I play classical so reading music is an essential. I find it helps with composition too.

QuoteSilver Dagger Back in 1970/71 Elton and Bernie Taupin drew a lot of inspiration from southern styled rock around the same time the Stones were beginning to write and record the songs that made up Exile. Elton's chief influences were The Band and Leon Russell but you can certainly hear the Stones in some of his early work too - particularly the brilliant and underrated Tumbleweed Con

Quotenocomment Don't know if this is generally true, but in Australia you can pre-order the deluxe edition for less than the stardard one: That seems like a mistake. It doesn't make much sense to me. If you're going to order it you should now before its rectified (if it is indeed a mistake)

Quotestupidguy2 I think one of the things I love so much about King is her straightness... she has always remained the same, level-headed and humble person through the years. I think you get that sense in her music and maybe why its comforting...and I don't mean comforting in a bland way....but in the sense that there is a real warmth. I like this post! I think Carole King has a pretty sweet voice. No vocal hystrionics or anything, just a nice, warm sincerity. Aretha has a gorgeous voice too although she's obviously the more accoplished vocalists. I know Ella Fitzgerald was before the rock n roll era so to speak but she has surely one of the "sweetest" voices ever. Whoever said Otis Redding for both hit the nail on the head

Quotelougio I believe one of the reasons I can't even make myself pretend to like this crap happened on Oct.17th 2005 in Miami Fl.
