Just for the record Honestman, Keylock first tried to say Jones might have died of an asthma attack, the autopsy ruled this out. It was said he was drunk. The autopsy said he had the equivalent of 31/2 pints of beer in his system. He was prescribed Mandrax ( as sleeping tablets), valium, Medihaler (for asthma), and Durophet (back bombers) probably to help lose weight. His doctor,Dr. Greenburgh, s

A lot of people don't believe there was a confession ( namely Rawlings from the documentary) Thorogood's daughter came out and said she was there when Keylock and her father talked before he died. She said there was no confession and that she could tell "a thing or two". Keith Richards was supposedly upset that Jones's clothes and such were burned. Keylock worked the Hyde

Keylock said he was working that night for Keith and was sent back to Redlands to get a guitar, not so said Keith. He supposedly stopped somewhere along the way, but couldn't remember the name of the spot. He burned a lot of Jones's things supposedly at the request of his father (not sure, maybe someone else knows if Lewis Jones did request this...) A lot of suspicious activity... Keyl

Quotetonterapi Tom, for me, will always be a snake who knew way more on the things that happend that dreadful night than he wanted to share. Anyway, that documentary was mostly rubbish as most documentaries/articles are about Brian Jones. It's all about the negative aspect of him and leaving out parts of the story. The fact that they had the two self-proclaimed "experts" Wooley

QuoteSilver Dagger Let's not forget acid. Mick, Marianne, Keith, Anita and friends were tripping to Dylan's Blonde On Blonde when they got raided at Redlands in 67. (Not a bad album to trip to, from distant memory!!!) Keith was found with acid on him after his crash on the M1 near Aylesbury coming back from one of the May 76 Bingley Hall, Stafford gigs. And Brian. Well Brian alleg

Quotetonterapi QuoteMarie It is very good. It has a lot of quotes. She says she walked up to Keith's house when he lived at Cheyne Walk and he was nice, but hesitant. Finding out she was sincere, he agreed. She interviewed him for four hours. She also talked to Brian's psychatrist after his drug busts and gives a copy of the profile handed to the courts after the 1968 busts. She's

She interviewed him in the 1970's and while he isn't gushing, he isn't mean-spirited. In some areas you can see he's not giving the whole picture, but I was surprised. Stu is quoted too. Also Suki Poitier. She died right before the book came out.Later, when interviewed, Mandy Aftel was asked about Brian. She said that he had many flaws like all of us do. She said his major fla

Quotetonterapi QuoteMarie Another good book is Mandy Aftel's Death of A Rolling Stone if you can find it. It was published in 1982. She spent the 70's interviewing a lot of people including Keith who is surprising pretty even-handed about Brian. It catches a lot of people early on after his death (Keith, Stu, Alexis Korner, Christopher Gibbs, etc.) before memories went and so on. She wa

Quotetonterapi Quotewhitem8 I never said he was a full time jerk. But based on a lot of the books about the Stones there is little doubt that he did not spend time with his children and when a girlfriend got pregnant he dropped said girl friend like a hot potato... Well, books about the Stones tend to portray Brian as the ultimate bastard. They never give the full picture but thankfully there are

Quotetonterapi Quotewhitem8 Eh, yes. Well, you believe what you want to believe. I believe the mothers of his children and people who actually knew him. They say otherwise and gives balance to the negative image people tend to have of him. Things weren't exactly black or white when it comes to Brian. He could be a jerk - but not a fulltime jerk. Not trying to excuse Brian's behavior, but he had physcological problems. It's on the record from his 1968 drug bust. Dr. Neustatter (very respected psychiatrist in England at the time) said at the time psychotherapy was urgently needed or his prognosis was poor. The doctor thought he might have a psychotic breakdown if put in jail. It also was stated "part of his confusion would s

Quotemitchflorida The second was to an older married woman? Am I supposed to feel sorry for Brian for that? The third one was when he was 19. Isn't he considered an adult at 19? How about number 4 and number 5? You didn't talk about those. Sorry. Number 4 is Linda Lawrence's son Julian. Number 5 was put up for adoption by Dawn Malloy, born in 1965. Not trying to make excu

Quotemitchflorida I wouldn't call the pictures of Brian as "heart-breaking". They are sad pictures, not heart-breaking .. God gave Brian Jones amazing talents and opportunities. Brian has to blame himself for how he squandered them. Five children by five different unmarried women, and he was no child. The first child was born when he was 16 or 17 and was put up for adopt

Three of Brian's children were born by the time he was 19. The first was given up for adoption. I believe he was 16 or 17. The second, I believe he didn't know about as the woman was married and older. The third was his son by Pat Andrews.

I've seen a video from I believe the late 1970's or early 1980's where Keith starts out calling Brian a little s**t,and then he gets this look on his face. He must have been caught in a good remembrance because he seems to get choked up a little. He then says "...he was a funny guy." I wish Keith would show that side of him more....

When Brian was busted for drugs (the second time in 1968) a psychiatric profile was done. It mentioned he was a very intelligent and sensitive young man with a 133 I.Q. It also said some of his problems stemmed from having a dominant and controlling mother who rejected him and blatantly favored his sister (the one born after his other one died).
