I would appreciate any opinions on the Classic Albums Live series of concerts(in North America). While booking for 'Who's Next' I noticed that they also do Let It Bleed and Exile, though not as often. Anyone seen the Stones' shows? Thanks in advance!

Let It Bleed....Over the years I've noticed that it gets the most 'tribute' takes in magazines etc.

If you edited this down by about 30%...taking out the unlikely sentences, paragraphs etc...you'd have a damn good essay...

Satisfaction works great...puts a smile on the face of anyone nearby. Zagalo....I like that 'Start Me Up' idea for the alarm!

This is what I'd really like to see next from the boys...and I think it would cause quite a buzz. A nice laid back studio atmosphere....bring in Mick taylor and Bill for a few numbers. Forget the big hits and rockers...just do the acoustic numbers, the ballads, the blues....and sitting down! Something like the Angie video. They could just relax and concentrating on playing instead of perf

I like this one on the HMV-UK site...but I'm sure we can come up with a few good ones...Cheers Originally part of the early 1960s British blues/R&B scene, the Rolling Stones rapidly ascended the heights of fame with a perfect combination of hit singles and media-grabbing scandals. By the '70s, Keith Richards had become a bona fide guitar hero, and Mick Jagger an unlikely sex symb

Way, way back (grade school '60's) this came on the transistor radio and I remember thinking 'yeah...that's a new Stones song!....might seem ludicrous now but back then it seemed to fit...no?

Yeah...at 'Sarstock' in Toronto ACDC absolutely had the fans rocking on a extremely hot afternoon. It was broiling that day and people had been in the sun for hours. Stones waited for nightfall but by the then the crowds energy had dissipated....not the band's fault. The half-million crowd was tired, thirsty and hungry. But if you stuck it out the Stones did okay. The crowd was bac

13 good, bad and ugly shows since the 1981 tour...in Toronto, Detroit and Buffalo....up to the million-strong Downsview/SARS gig. The bad ones were due to the venue, not the band. The best show was from the Voodo Lounge tour at the outdoor Exhibiton Place (Toronto '94). Anyone in Ontrio can tell you that the being in the Grandstand at that location was the best place in the world to watch

Quote71Tele Midnight Rambler, Live With Me, Love In Vain on Ya-Yas all vastly exceed their studio versions. So do the two Chuck Berry tunes. If you count unofficial releases, I have to add "Dancing With Mr. D", "Angie", and "You Can't Always Get What You Want" from Brussels '73. Seriously....is there a cut on Ya-Yas that isn't better than the stud

Sometimes I feel that I'm the only one who likes this album. I play it about as much as all all the others that came before it...especially while driving. I think all the songs are good to great...not one clunker among them. Mick's vocals are just about the best he's ever done. Crisp, clear, great range...I like the way he sings on thse songs...(stretching vowels out to 5 syllables

I don't see how the Stones could possibly go on tour without Mick Taylor after the upcoming release of Ladies & Gentlemen. Think about it...they go on a tour with NO Taylor after the movie release makes a big splash...reviews, magazine articles, interviews videos, etc. I don't think they could leave him out. How could they possibly tour without inviting him along after people see tha

There's a neat little book on sale at Coles called 'Guitar Gods' whick gives short bios on about 100 guitar players. I didn't buy it so I'm not sure exactly how many. But I did flip through to see if Mick Taylor, who never makes a 'greatest guitarists' list, was mentioned. Sure enough, there he was...finally on a list! Not only that, the scholarly introductio
