QuoteDandelionPowderman <except for the sound, pretty awful> The sound on ER is better than that of SG, imo - way better. Gone are the too trebly drums and guitars. ER has a punchy, bass-heavy sound that rocks. The clarity is also lightyears better. You can hear every overdub clearly, as well as it fits the mix. Yes, maybe you're right; too much trebles on SG. Maybe my ears have s

Guys, I prefer ER to Some Girls (shot me!), except for the sound, pretty awful. Down In The Hole great blues number, Dance could last half an hour and still will never be boring

Quoteexilestones I don't own a Blu Ray player but I plan to buy one just for Totally Stripped (even though I downloaded all of Totally Stripped) since I bought the Totally Stripped Blu Ray. Here's my question.... QuoteHMS Quotemikehat The "Stereo" mixes on the concert blurays & dvds are a fold down of the 5.1 mix. Instruments and vocals disappear when other things en

Quoteopj I've now ripped the DVD's to cd, and listened to it a couple of times, it's really a great collection of concerts we've got here. It's good to be a stones fan these years. It so great that the band has opened their archive. I think that over the next years we'll see a lot more coming out. I don't much about a new album, but the rumors of a blues album w

QuoteDoc QuoteValeswood QuoteAle67 The LARS version on the cd is totally unreleased to my ears. Slower, simpler, somewhat a little uncertain, a completely different mix compared to the original 1995 Stripped version and single edited version. Am I wrong? Wasn't LARS from the original 1995 album from Brixton? Yes, LARS on Stripped was from brixton, on Totally Stripped it's from the

Ok, I'm ready to bear and keep every damn you're going to send me, but remember, I'm in this forum because I always loved the Stones, and I don't mean to offend nobody. I start to love music listening to Bruce Springsteen and his E-Street Band; today I'm lost for words, sad like everyone in rock music. Please, I'm sorry again: I think it's "unfair" t

QuoteDandelionPowderman I agree with you, Alex, although I can understand Keith not wanting to be outshined by Mick during his songs (like on Happy earlier). What hurts the most as a fan, however, is the fact that Keith's involvement, as far as the setlist goes, is to approve the setlist that Mick and Chuck decide. IMO, he should be involved way more. Chuck should solely focus on his m

QuoteDandelionPowderman It's a fact. It has nothing to do with the promoter. It's Mick and Keith's deal. I'm a true Stones' fan, and passionate about classic rock in general, but these are those things in rock music where you clearly feel (or better, I feel) that the magic of friendship, camerade and mutual support of the early days are lost (and sold) forever. Hello guys, in the "Appreciation for the 1978 tour" thread, The Greek tells about "the infamous fight that Jagger & Richards had during the mixing for Undercover, when Keith stormed out of the studio and things have never been the same since". I know there's been some critical times during and after Dirty Work, but didn't know something similar three years
