QuoteTheflyingDutchman Damn, no Keith Richards, no Mick Taylor, no Bill Wyman. The biggest vacuum on a Rolling Stones party ever. Coming on Friday. This was no 300 people. This was a dinner for max. 40.

I believe the big party is in London on Friday evening Try to find anything about the party date. Was Friday written somewhere?

It's Keith, of course he won't fly around to world to attend party with 300 people. That's just not how he's like. Birthday partys, funerals... Keith does not care about these ki

A small question one day before his birthday: Is it possible to have a nicer photo of Mick on the start-side of IORR than the recent one? As usual in the last years: may be from the last gig of the last tour which would be Berlin August 3. No criticism, just a thought.

QuoteIrix Quotecaschimann Why so many other bands liked it? A 2016 interview (in German) with Musicland's engineer & producer Reinhold Mack - - where he says that G. Moroder liked his mixing style and that they built the best studio in the world. Thanks a lot Irix!! Now I am a fan of Mack!

Forgive me if may be there was a post about this in the past. But: What is the fascination of this studio? Why the Stones liked it so much? (made IORR and Black & Blue here) Why so many other bands liked it? The studio owners famous Gorgio Moroder and legendary engineer Reinhold Mack (nickname of the studio: Mack-Land-Studios) where probably the main reason. But located in the cellar

Quotelem motlow Quoteskytrench Without Mick they would be overlooked, without Keith they would be a joke. So a band with Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman,Mick Taylor, Ron Wood and Mick Jagger would’ve been a joke? And by the why, no one has answered the question yet- It’s simple, Jagger makes Keith into Brian. Fck off, here’s your check.how does the Steel Wheels tour do? The Keith camp were so

QuoteRocky Dijon lem means if STEEL WHEELS had gone the way of Pink Floyd without Roger. Sure, the name would have sold, but it likely would have been Jimmy Rip replacing Keith as a sideman. As for georgie48's comment: "Don't forget, Keith had much more support during his live solo tour than Mick J. in the 80s." Well, Keith had one arena in the States in 1988 and one sta

QuoteCristiano Radtke Quotetreaclefingers RIP...he was so right. "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World...The Rolling Stones!" This is probably the best and most adequate intro ever said in any concert, and it brings back so many memories to all of us. RIP, Sam. So true!!! Wish they had brought back that as intro after Bill Graham left.

QuoteMathijs QuoteDan QuoteDoxa QuoteMathijs I think the emphasis on how great Mick is as a businessman is hugely overblown. For the Stones the market is huge, there's only a few promotors that can do these big tours, so negotiating a good deal isn't all that difficult. Mick found out himself that a sell-to market is more important than being a good businessman -he wasn't able to g

Quotelem motlow The absolute fantasy that Keith had anything to do with any business deal involving the Stones is laughable. Any quote from him regarding the bands financial situation is him repeating something Mick Jagger told him. The guy spent years in a drunken drugged out haze while Mick covered his ass.
