Come On was the start for the Rolling Stones, and their amazing catalog, which they are still performing in 2022. The Beatles limped out after about 10 years. Love Me Do is a nod to Hey Baby. Not that original.

Quotecrholmstrom Why mess with perfection? 1 of the greatest singles ever, right up there with "Good Vibrations". If these remixers are so great, why aren't they doing their own work on something original? Hmmm, I wouldn't put Good Vibrations anywhere near JJF.

While masks are not a cure all, they play an important part in the pursuit of stopping the pandemic. Inconvenient and annoying, but they very likely saved lots of lives. The lockdown was tough, but necessary.

QuoteMizzAmandaJonez I've always liked the slow middle part starting in this early version from Hyde Park 1969 ... the contrast of the guitars playing off each other and the fact Mick T and Keith were just forming a musical bond that created some great music over the next few years makes it interesting for me. Surprised this YouTube version has only 1799 views as while its not a full ver

QuoteSpud I don't think there can be a best MR ? This song, uniquely, has a life of its own... and frequently encourages everybody on stage to stretch and to do something just a little differently to last time. It's probably the one warhorse that none of the detractors can ever say is boring ! I think there are at least 50 best MR's. Gotta be this.

QuoteHairball The only time it might be appropriate to announce a tune is when it's a new one such as Living in a Ghost Town aka "our lockdown song", or an obscure cover tune. But considering Ghost Town is the only relatively new tune they play (and it isn't even really new anymore), aside from it Mick shouldn't feel the need to announce any of the others. He could

Or just think f it let's play it as a one off Just for fun, I rewrote the lyrics to be about baked goods. It may not rival the original, but it might make it more "palatable" for some

A stunning version - Silver dagger, that version of Rambler you caught there just blew my head clean off. Absolutely incredible.... And quite different from what they did with it at Hyde Park. My god, the song is ALIVE ... Wow. WOW--- THE GLIMMER TWINS!

QuoteHairball Not bashing, just stating some facts, and this is the Beatles vs. Stones thread after all. Thinking about how much other artists like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and the like accomplish this late in the game, and it's inspiring to see them do so. Even the Beatles who know longer exist are still blazing trails. Dylans just announced a 25 date tour for Europe, and has just comple

QuoteHairball Actions speak louder than words - bravo to the Stones. Might be the highlight of the entire mini-tour. Only a mini tour to a mini mind. Now look at the Beatles last tour. A micro tour because they were too timid to perform to people, hence a rooftop 5 song set that was stopped by the police because they received 30 complaints of noise. LOL.
