The Beatles. The bigger question is how many tickets do you think they could have sold for this?

I've always been a big rod Stewart fan. I've seen him in concert probably 6 times. But... I have to agree with Ronnie. He's found unbeleivable success with his Great American Songbok series (Ithink he's up to four CDs). Now he's released this latest thing which, to quote someone (I don't recall who) earlier on this site, is a "Rod Stewart does karaoke"

Mr. Jimmy- I'm a pretty big Neil fan and my recomendation would be "Live Rust." It doesn't have all his hits, but none of them do. There's many other good one's, but if I could only keep one Neil young CD that would be it.

"Without fan support, does the band survive?" NO. Last time I checked, though, Stones fans were turning out in the tens of thousands in every city to support/listen to their band.

Singing "Miss You" with that little puke Justin Timberlake in Toronto. They actually did that on a stage in front of people, apparently without total embarrasment.

I've paid that a couple of times here in the states. MSG, NYC a couple years ago and $500 at the Joint in Las vegas way back in '99. I've still got the stubs.

No one knows how to make money better than Gene Simmons. (Not that there's anything wrong with that). Even our beloved Stones/Stones-handlers take a back seat to the tounged one.

I was always a casual fan of his. Had his greatest hits album, but that's all. I was in Palm Springs, CA last month for a different matter and he happened to be playing a concert there (w/Jackson Browne as his opening act!). I went and it turned out to be a great show. Petty was a great showman, sounded fabulous, did all his hits and did a salute to Chuck Berry. As a huge added bonus,

A reporter asked Charlie on the occasion of the Stones 25th anniversary what it was like to be the drummer for the Rolling Stones for 25 years. In a casual response the way that only Charlie could pull off he said, "It's been like 5 years of playing and 20 years of just hanging out."

I agree with dunhill. I don't think it will happen, but I think it would be very cool to see. Not "Sympathy for the Devil" though, Mick owns that song. The Stones have certainly had guest appearances during their show with lessor talents. Another thing about Alice. He was doing little movies (now called video's) to his songs before anyone. I remember watching Don Kir

Capsula-- My point is---They play songs like HTW, Satisfaction and JJF at every show. I personally, being a big fan and having seen over 30 shows, would prefer to hear Winter, Lovin Cup etc. However- the fact that tens of thousands DO pay upwards of $300 or $400 a seat to see this show tells you that there is a huge market for this. As I said, there is a huge market for NASCAR, but I

Seems some of you confuse a ticket to a Stones concert with taxes. Taxes are deducted from your paycheck and you go to jail if you don't pay. This gives you the right to bitch and moan about how high your taxes are and how the money is wasted. Rolling Stones concert tickets are something we either chose to buy or not to buy. If you think the Stones don't play well or don't so
