10921. Bo Diddley
I am impressed with the latest tour dates announced by legendary Bo Diddley, now at age 76. I saw him first time in 1996 or so, and ever since then I have been looking forward to the chance of seing him again. Every time I hear "Not Fade Away" I think of the guy we should all be greatful for regarding this great sound. Bo Diddley tour list this spring and early summer: Sat 02/12/

I guess you mean to ask how many people the Stones have played in front of, and how many shows in the world in total? Somebody with the books close or a computer brain should be able to tell. From my extremely bad memory I think they played around 100 shows per tour lately plus minus. And to a crowd of 2-3 million people. So with large tours since 1969 or so, and with 50-100 shows per tour, my wi

You may like your mother or your father or girls or boys or Ronnie or Mick T or anyone you like as long as you act as a normal civilized person, i.e. you do not offend. The moment you start offending then you are out. Same happens in a bar. If you start offending somebody something happens. That is life. I will not tolerate "bar fighs" here. IORR is not a zoo. 10924. Re: Bootlegs
Most bootlegs run in 1000 copies or a few more. Thn Stones are selling in millions. And those who buy a bad audience recording of Olympia 1995 do have all the official releases in may be 10 different colors and separate country releases anyway. That is not the problem. The real problem is counterfeits - real copies of original releases. You find them mostly in Asia, but also in Europe. Then p

10925. Re: Bootlegs
Please use your brains guys. It is not Friday afternoon and drinking time, or? If you post the name of your favorite bootleg store here on IORR, what happens next week? It is closed down may be. So why do I give you all these advices? Do I have to spell it out? Just common sense and some experience in life is needed here. Sorry I have to spell it out. It is not illegal to own or buy bootlegs.

10926. Bootlegs
Don't waste time asking for places selling bootlegs. Or replying to such posts. Selling bootlegs is illegal. If you post the name of a shop or a person selling bootlegs, such posts will be removed.

If they were to sell tickets at maximum price $50 to all arenas, all stadiums, then how should they find YOU, the REAL Stones fan, among 6 billion other people on mother earth? That is the problem. So many people are pushing the price tag up. The wristband model works in clubs, but with an expensive overhead manpower wise they can never implement thsi model for arena or stadium shows. It is VERY

Sticky Fingers. August 1971. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had just bought my first own record player, saving money from summer work, and I needed a record to play on it. The next day I went back and bought Stone Age. I was hooked.

10931. Re: nhl
Hockey is a fair game. You hit that other player hard during the game, and shake his hand after the game. For me hockey is just as important as the Stones, and I could not imagine going to Montreal during the season to see the Stones and not seing an NHL game. Luckily I have seen great games in Montreal, San Jose, Anaheim, LA, MSG, Boston, St Louis and Toronto among others because of the Stones.

I am going to the U2 show in Oslo of course. The 40,000 tickets sold out this morning. Big ticket chaos when the servers went down and scalpers now have an uplift from face value of $100 into $400. Still, U2 are great, and I try to see them on every tour.

The Stones and NHL are connected! I remember travelling to Seattle and Vancouver Dec. 1994 for the 3 last shows of that tour. Final US show in Seattle with big Budweiser banners in Seattle. Then to Vancouver. I took a taxi from the airport into the city. The cab driver told me there was no life. Life was over. NHL was on strike, so life was over. The most important thing in Vancouver. The Cannuck

I might need that beer because I remember on the last tour I had to show California drivers license in order to prove I am over 18 and to get a beer. And I don't have such an ID... Well nobody asked me for ID for years when buying beer so I am looking forward to that also for the next tour. By the way good friend Gary got us beer on his UK passport, until his 4 beers limit was met... Cheers!

When you can play MSG NY 2-3 times in a row and charge $300 for most of the seats in the venue then I think it is a bit optimistic to expect lower prices in these markets. Remember the average fan is now in his 40's or even in his 50's, which means many hard core fans, and even non-fans, can actually afford those tickets. Just like those 100-200 "fans" that left Roseland just

Other acts are not that popular. If the Stones asked for $100 in Las Vegas then they could play forever, every night, year around, actually any city in the US every week I think. They are just too popular. Far to popular. Sone times I wish my favorite band was a real garage band nobody knew about. But without the crowd there is no joy...

Alanis Morissette does not move one inch during a show, neither does The Strokes. I get scared when musicians looks like being nailed to the stage floor. Like Bob Dylan walks on stage, plays for an hour or two, does not move, does not talk, just plays and leaves. Scaring. I just saw R.E.M. in Oslo this week and they made the difference. Living people on stage, great performing people who move aro

For some strange reason people think the Stones should change the world when they sell concert tickets. When you live in USA money rules. If you have lots of money you buy a big house, expensive car, and you can afford those $400 Stones tickets in Las Vegas. Same in Europe actually, but not as extreme. If you are rich you do still normally waste your money on a big house, a nice boat or something

U2 tickets are now being sold out to scalpers both in USA and Europe. As they are priced lower than market price, scalpers buy up lost of tickets both at ticket outlets as well as from the fan club site where you have to pay $40 up-front in order to get the pre-sales "advantage". Many Stones fans complained about RS.com and Rolling Stones ticket sales policies and prices during the l

I just love them! And I think if you are bored of their greatest hits then it is time to rest for a while. Don't see them live for say 10 years, and then go back. Satisfaction, Street Fighting Man, BS, JJF, SFTD and all of those songs are the Stones. Without them it's only an obscure show most normal fans can't relate to.

That is what is most stupid about this: "confirmed by the doctor"... Would a doctor be able to work if he told SE OG HØR about his patience and his confidential whereabouts? May be the doctors in Denmark don't have to keep the confidentiality vs. the patient - I don't think so. Wake up!

If the tickets are $50 each, how would you prevent the scalpers from buying them up and selling them on for $100?

You don't have to post what is written on toilet walls here on IORR. Se og Hør is simply another toilet wall. It is garbage. Try to get a minimum of respect on sources when you post. As I have said again and again. Think before you post. I am loosing my patience.

The photo is taken by Kevin Mazur. He is one of the best photographers in the world, and just like a few other selected photographers in the world, he is now the "official guy" when they want to make excellent inside and behind the scenes photos. He is like the "fly on the wall". They just work without paying any attention to him. As a professional, I think he is brilliant.

It is a sad fact that there is the need for money and aid equal to one South East Asia Tsunami size every month in Africa, Darfur and so on. Sure it would be great if the Stones could do a Live Aid RS this summer!

I am sure Mick wants to see all the good and bad ideas U2 are using this time. Like the egg that kept them stuck inside when they played in Norway during the egg tour or may be it was the k-mart or pop mart or something tour. I did actually see that show. Don't make me wrong, I like U2 a lot, but it's a very different show. And there is no problem having U2 touring in Europe while the S
