QuoteMonsoon Ragoon Why not release an Christmas Album? The can manage it until November, they don't need to write songs etc. And they have the age. Would be horrible? Well, wasn't ABB horrible as well ;-) Another album of cheesy Christmas standards (not that I dislike them, for a couple of days in a year), as done before by many other artists? Or maybe a reinterpretation of their o

Given the long time we have to wait (and all the expectations we put in it), a title for the album could be "Prodigal Son(g)"

Given the overwhelming amount of new albums they are recording and publishing in this season of their life / career, characterized by a restless impulse of creativity that makes them pour out a set of new songs every week, I find it very appropriate, even indispensable, to have a mobile recording studio at hand.

“Send it to me” and “Neighbors” are very similar in some parts, at least in the vocal melody. Probably it was more a matter of “unconscious contamination”, being the two albums very close chronologically.

QuoteSilver Dagger We can always celebrate in the IORR saloon Doxa. Congratulations to these “biblical” posters, but in this picture you can spot the other famous Gazza (Gascoigne), who has already surpassed the score of 31.501 pints of beer... Cheers

Sad news. In Italy he was known especially for his work in electronic experimental music (beside some "pop" songs); yet, he recorded this sober and delicate version of Lady Jane. Good music, whatever interpreted or by the original author, knows no labels or boundaries.

I found it a long time ago, when my modem used to work at 56 Kb and I could make a cup of coffee or roll a cigarette while waiting for some Junoesque breast to fill my screen in its glorious plenitude. Tired of porn at “Continental Drift speed”, I was searching content about the Stones and the IORR site was suggested to me by BOMIS, a search engine / portal that doesn't exist anymore, I gues

Let's reach a compromise. In those bohemian times Jack the gardener was working under the influence of heroin, fact that is testified by some curious installments in Keith's garden at Redlands'.

I don't dislike this slinky, “pop” version of Paint It Black (maybe their most covered song on youtube) by a Danish band, “Who Made Who”. It's very well sung, and in terms of video and audio quality this is close to perfection.

That's easily explainable. Keith is not a self-complacent “virtuoso”. He's not in love with himself, he's in love with music. He puts warmth and feeling in what he plays, and that tends to create bonds with other musicians who share the same approach to music.

Sad news indeed. The magazine Marie Claire named her “the most beautiful girl in the world”; how could I refute that.

QuoteNaturalust That's a nice, “strong” pic. Smoking on a stage in Australia nowadays (and in such a nonchalant way) is more or less like entering the Sistine Chapel completely naked...

QuoteHound Dog Anyway my wife and I loved the show and was wondering if there are any connections with the Stones and Winwood Well, maybe it's not the kind of connection you are alluding to, but Blind Faith (Steve Winwood was the singer) performed Under My Thumb at Hyde Park in 1969 (as already mentioned by tomcasagranda, I apologize, I noticed it later). I don't know if I will m

The purpose is noble and I hope he will participate (especially donating some money privately, I guess), but a bucket of iced water for our refined Sir Mick? You're kidding me, it must be a bucket of cuvée Louise Pommery at least!

Jumpin' Jack Flash for sure anticipated some aspects that a lot of rock / hard rock songs would assume later in the '70s, especially that idea of a rhythmic and “atmospheric” progression that goes beyond or gives a different ending to the formula “strophe - refrain - strophe - refrain ... Satisfaction, The Last Time, 2000 lights are very modern too in some aspects, but I believe,

Well, they have already lost the opportunity to deliver Respectable in its glorious plenitude - that could have happened in Lisbon if Clinton (in the audience) had come on stage, sketching some sax notes along with the line "you're the easiest lay on the White House lawn", so let's hope for a good rendition of Sweet Virginia, or Loving Cup ...

Aquamarine, in the past it happened that this radio (the most influent private radio in Portugal) obtained the broadcasting of some songs at the last minute or even during some big artist concert, but I don't want to deceive you, I guess we will have to content ourselves with some recorded songs and some "remote voices from Saturn here and there"

too much confusion, as I said, the radio got no permission. Now the radio speakers were chatting and one could listen to wild horses in the background, as it came from Saturn...You heard a recorded version of Can't be seen, in that moment they were playing TD with Bruce, I guess

Aquamarine, since they didn't get permission to broacast, rfm radio is broadcasting live Stones songs from their archive, not what's going on in Lisbon now
